This stylish and spacious barn is set in a stunning spot just 2 miles from the Hartland Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Offering spacious accommodation for six guests, this beautiful barn conversion makes a fantastic holiday home for walkers exploring the Hartland Heritage Coast. Situated close to Devon’s border with Cornwall the property is great for families and friends exploring the northern coastlines and countryside of both counties. Within easy reach of the South West Coast Path, this idyllic retreat features original exposed beams, limestone flooring, underfloor heating, a cheerful wood burner and a large garden

This warm and cosy barn conversion offers a charming lounge which makes an ideal space to unwind in, complete with a wood burner, TV/DVD and plenty of seating. The kitchen/diner is a wonderful space for socialising, cooking and enjoying all your favourite family dishes. There are three first-floor bedrooms, each with a TV: two relaxing king-size rooms, and a twin room with a skylight set into a low sloping ceiling. The property also has a ground-floor shower room and an invigorating first-floor bathroom which features a beautiful freestanding bath. Bi-fold doors lead from the lounge into the large, enclosed garden which has a patio area, a choice of outdoor furniture and BBQ, providing a fantastic space for dining alfresco. The lawn has plenty of space for children and dogs to run and play.

The Hartland Heritage Coast is known for its rugged cliffs, secluded beaches and spellbinding views towards the Atlantic. The cheerful village of Hartland (2 miles) has a variety of friendly places to eat and drink. Local attractions include the historic village of Clovelly, Docton Mill Gardens and Tea Rooms, Welcombe Mouth Beach, St Catherine’s Tor, Speke’s Mill Mouth Waterfall and Hartland Abbey (all within 6.5 miles). Also nearby are the thriving seaside resorts of Westward Ho! (15 miles) and Bude (14 miles).

  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £30. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Lovely cottage in the countryside, with villages nearby for groceries and pubs etc (10- 25 min drive ). Cottage was very clean, well equipped (also for home cooking for a fam of 5) and spacious and well enclosed garden was perfect for our young dog. Host John was very willing to help out with whatever we needed. Great place for a relaxing holiday wRead moreith our 3 kids and dog. Beautiful cottage well appointed immaculately clean well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds amazing view of sunset, comfy outdoor seating. A very dog safe garden great peaceful location Ideal position for exploring north Cornwall and North Devon 5 Star holiday home we would highly recommend and a return visit highly likely.

Beautiful property, well appointed and very comfortable. Loved the big garden for our collie (who loves to chase a ball around), plenty of parking if needed. Very quiet location and very friendly helpful owners. We'll be back!

Edistone Barn was the perfect getaway with our two Labradors. The Barn is beautiful, well equipped and in a great location for exploring both Devon and Cornwall. The access is via a single track road but there are plenty of passing places. Lovely barn, super rural location acreal 'home from home' feel. Fantastic for our 2 dogs as practical internally and has a good sized garden for them to enjoy. Would definitely return. A very enjoyable weeks holiday with many dog friendly beaches, stunning scenery and good local pubs!

Beautiful rural location. Property fully equipped, cosy and comfortable home away from home. The garden was delightful, perfect for the two dogs we had with us, they could roam safely, no chance of escape. Positioned close by to some fantastic beaches which were dog friendly, the Tarka Trail, and many National Trust properties. We popped to CornwalRead morel for the day, as very close by too. We generally have two or three cottage holidays per year and this has to be one of the best we have stayed in. Kitchen was well designed and appliances were all good quality and worked perfectly. Comfortable beds. ample space for clothes etc and good sized lounge area. Downstairs shower room was very good as was the family bathroom. Really comfortable accommodation with plenty of space for 4 plus a dog. The house had everything we needed, especially the kitchen, and the welcome pack of provisions was a very nice gesture. Great location for visiting both Devon and Cornwall, and we particularly enjoyed the nearby coastal walks.

Great property , very well equipped its just like home from home. The garden is huge and safe. Great for a trip away with the dog. We stayed in some evenings and had a bbq which was lovely. It takes approximately 7 minutes down a single track lane to get to it which didnt bother us at all. But my elderly parents would have preferred something withiRead moren an easier reach to amenities. We all thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas at Edistone Barn. Beautifully quiet location, well equipped and so comfortable. The Christmas touches made it perfect and our host made sure everything was just right. Cant thank them enough for making this a lovely family break.

One of the nicest houses we have stayed at. Wine, Milk, tea stuff and box of quality biscuits left. Really well equipped. Very comfortable. Excellent for dogs. Highly recommended. Home from home but nicer. Tracks/roads are really muddy and bumpy. Don't take a nice sports car in winter.

Edistone Barn is great for a quiet holiday but also a good base from which to explore. It is spacious and comfortable and has good facilities.
