Located in a secluded spot, just south of Exmoor National Park, this lovingly updated barn conversion makes a fantastic holiday getaway for up to four guests. Providing idyllic accommodation for couples and families discovering the gorgeous coast and spellbinding countryside of North Devon, this light-filled property features a soothing hot tub, exposed timber beams and a cosy wood burner. The property offers fantastic rural views and makes a wonderful base for discovering the area’s beautiful moorlands, picturesque villages and stunning beaches.

The property is accessed via the owner’s private gated entrance and is situated some distance from the owner’s home. Entering the barn through a large oak door, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is perfect for you all to unwind in. The light and airy lounge features a Smart TV, wood burner and French doors overlooking the garden, providing a lovely space to settle back, watch a movie or chat into the night. The central dining area is a pleasant spot to share a family meal which you can rustle up in the stylishly designed kitchen. Exploring this relaxing property further, you will find a family shower room and two cosy bedrooms: a king-size room and a twin, each with wooden ceiling beams and charming rural views. Stepping outside, the enclosed patio has outdoor furniture and a private hot tub, providing an ideal spot for spending a lazy afternoon. Children can play in the owner’s field which is just beyond, and has a trampoline and goalposts.

The historic market town of South Molton (9 miles) has a range of independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants and is ideally positioned for exploring the breathtaking expanses of Exmoor National Park (5 miles). Local attractions include Quince Honey Farm (10 miles), Knightshayes Court (13 miles), Tiverton Castle (12.5 miles) and Exmoor Zoo (20 miles).

Hot tub excellent and well maintained with beautiful views. Exceptionally peaceful and quiet. One or two details need attention and perhaps a "welcome pack" would elevate the cottage to a 5 star rating.

The cottage was beautiful. Very comfortable beds. The setting was very peaceful giving great views of the countryside. It was quiet and tranquil. Malcolm, the owner, was very helpful and welcoming. We had a great time. The only downside was that there was no internet available for the week we were staying following a storm the previous week. The stRead moreeps together in and out of the hot tub cn be very slippery when wet so you need to take care. Overall we had a much needed, relaxing time. Hide

Could not fault it absolutely fantastic setting hot tub fantastic and the trampoline a hit with the grandchildren. If you want tranquility this is the place to be. Owner was lovely and very helpful we shall be returning. Big Thankyou you have a lovely place.

Beautiful property in the most idyllic setting. Malcolm was a great host, friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Hot Tub, trampoline, large field, wildlife walks, incredibly peaceful. We will be back hopefully. Xx

We had an amazing time at swallow cottage. It is so peaceful and relaxing and within easy reach of the coast. Malcolm and Aidan made us feel so welcome. They provide everything you need for a stress free stay. The cottage is so well equipped, they have thought of everything including inside and outside clothes maidens, a ninja air fryer, iron, hairRead more dryer. The bedding is really comfortable and the cottage is so clean. You really dont need to leave the cottage!! We will definitely recommend it! Hide

Excellent cottage in quiet location with great views. Owner very welcoming and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Easy access to many local attractions and coast. Hot tub a nice addition and appreciated. Cottage clean and well equipped. Would recommend.

Swallow Cottage was wonderful! The hot tub, the views and the property was fantastic. It has everything you need for a chilled, relaxing break away. Facilities were top of the range with a full size under counter fridge, full size under counter freezer, washing machine, ninja air fryer, plenty of saucepans and crockery. Great holiday cottage. The location is central to all you need, the setting is just beautiful and so peaceful. Watching the swallows in the hot tub of an evening was just perfect. Cottage setting is just stunning with incredible views. Malcolm the owner greeted us and showed us around, a lovely man made us very welcome thankyou. We were so happy to see red deer grazing from the bedroom window and the swallows are just mesmerising to watch swooping across rhe fields and skies.
