Escape to the countryside in this charming cottage near the quaint Devon village of Morchard Bishop. The property sleeps four guests and is the perfect base for couples and families with older children looking to get away from it all and embrace nature. You’ll find beautiful walks to explore directly from the cottage, and you’ll also be within 20 miles of the wild and rugged landscapes of Dartmoor and Exmoor. For shopping and eating out, the cathedral city of Exeter is 17 miles away.

The home-away-from-home has a country-cottage vibe, with traditional furniture and characterful original features. On the ground floor is a spacious kitchen/diner with a fabulous stone floor and rural views. Spend time here, preparing delicious, home-cooked feasts and sharing mealtimes at the farmhouse-style dining table. After dinner, relax in the cosy lounge and watch the Smart TV or read a book. A handy utility room completes the ground floor. The two inviting bedrooms are upstairs, one of which has a wonderful Juliet balcony. Both bedrooms boast en-suite facilities. Outside, soak up the peace and tranquillity in the enclosed garden, where you’ll find a patio and furniture for al fresco dining.

Morchard Bishop (3 miles) is a delightful village with a friendly pub and a great selection of local footpaths and bridleways. The village is also the mid-way point for the long-distance Two Moors Way walking trail. The bustling market town of Crediton is 6 miles away and has a good range of independent shops and eateries, as well as a regular farmers’ market. For a day at the beach, the seaside resort of Exmouth is 26 miles away.

Northleigh Barn is a spacious, comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage. It is in "a way from it all location" with a private and enclosed garden and many country walks from the door. The owners are very pleasant and helpful.

North Leigh Cottage is a wonderful holiday rental! The owners couldnt have made us feel more welcome and were really helpful with suggestions of great places to eat nearby. I will miss lying in bed at night and watching the stars through the velux window and will definitely miss the most comfortable bed Ive encountered in a holiday rental!
