This impressive cottage situated in the pretty village of Appledore, is perfect for a group of friends or a family to enjoy a peaceful holiday and is an ideal base for discovering beautiful Devon attractions including Saunton Sands (17 miles) and the charming and unique clifftop village of Clovelly (13 miles). Appledore's cobbled lanes are filled with art galleries and independent shops and a short ride on the seasonal ferry will take you to Instow, with its sandy beach and famous deli.

Step into this attractive three-storey house and leave your everyday cares behind. From the entrance hall you walk into the bright and inviting open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, which has many thoughtful and distinctive furnishings, a tiled floor and feature fireplace. The living area has a wood burner for cosy evenings, making it a great choice all year round. Comfortable seating is perfect for small talk or to sit back and watch the Smart TV. The large dining area invites you to enjoy sociable meals and the kitchen is close by and equipped with all you need to rustle up some family favourites. The ground floor benefits from plenty of natural light from the windows off the dining area and the wet room shower is ideal for washing off sandy toes. On the first floor are a king-size bedroom and a twin with a washbasin. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC completes the first floor. Stairs lead to the top floor where you will find two other bedrooms - a spacious twin with Smart TV, beautiful high ceilings and exposed beams and a king-size with a four-poster bed, and a Smart TV. Outside, a shared cobbled courtyard leads to the quay where you can enjoy the views and take a stroll.

Nearby Westward Ho! (3 miles) showcases some of the best of Devon seaside holidays with two miles of golden sandy beach, the Royal North Devon Golf Course and Northam Burrows Country Park to entertain you. Alternatively, The Big Sheep attraction (4 miles) is ideal for a fun family day out.

Popham cottage is absolutely beautiful! Perfectly situated across the road from the promenade. The house has everything and more that you could possibly need to make your holiday perfect. The little touches were so thoughtful! Fresh scones with jam and cream, and flowers on arrival, with a lovely little pack for our dog! There was even chocolates oRead moren every bed! The house was spotlessly clean and the lay out was perfect for us all (7 adults and a dog) we cant wait to be back, thank you Hide

All 4 bedrooms are a good size (2 on first and 2 on second). I feel the problem is that a shower room is on the ground floor (other bathroom on the first). Kitchen is well stocked. Shame that the property has no real outside space just a walkway from front door to street between buildings.
