A magical retreat that sits in the grounds of the owner’s home within the spectacular scenery of the Devon/Cornwall border, perfectly placed to enjoy the countryside and coast. This delightful shepherd's hut is a romantic base for two guests. Enjoy exploring well-trodden pathways and trails directly from your doorstep before returning to a relaxing evening under the stars in the hot tub, or cosying up in front of the fire.
Beautifully presented with plenty of curb appeal and positioned next to the owner’s residence, head up three steps into the gorgeous accommodation. Simply styled with shaker inspired interiors the space has been cleverly zoned making best use of the compact floor plan. There is a cosy sleeping area to the rear complete with king-sized bed, a stunning kitchenette and seating area that runs through the trunk of the hut, complete with cosy wood burner in the corner and a separate ensuite bathroom at the front. Back outside you’ll find yourselves in a pretty patio area with picnic bench seating, BBQ and a hot tub, so you can take in the spectacular countryside views or relax and unwind under the moonlight.
The property is surrounded by wildlife and with many walking routes that can be picked up nearby. One such trail is the 2-mile jaunt up to Hawker’s Hut. Owned by the National Trust it is the cliff-top hut that inspired the poetic works of eccentric clergyman Robert Stephen Hawker. Follow the South West Coast Path beyond to Morwenstow and take in the spectacular scenery. Days at the coast can be spent at National Trust beaches Duckpool (4 miles) and Sandymouth (6 miles) or hop in the car and enjoy the traditional attractions of Bude(10 miles).
