Nestled at the heart of a historic market town, this sensitively renovated cottage retains its rustic charm, boasting a serene, tranquil atmosphere that reflects the sleepy countryside that surrounds you.

Kick off your walking boots and head into the cosy living room to hunker down for the evening on the comfy sofa for a film night around the Smart TV amongst the beautiful neutral décor and exposed brickwork that calls back to the cottage’s rich heritage. The sofa can also be made up as a bed for an extra guest for complete versatility. Answer the call of rumbling tummies down a few steps to the kitchen/diner that features more exposed brickwork and a farmhouse-style dining table. As the night draws in, retreat to the spacious double bedroom on the first floor, flooded by plenty of natural sunlight, or climb to the second-floor king-size bedroom underneath the eaves to admire countryside views over the quaint cottage rooftops. Outside, children will love playing in the garden room which features games consoles and a Smart TV whilst you enjoy dining alfresco to soak up some sunshine in the enclosed patio garden.

Lying within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the River Exe, Axminster offers many quaint independent shops and tearooms to discover. Soak up the history and heritage of the local area at the National Trust’s Loughwood Meeting House (3 miles) or Shute Barton (4.5 miles) to explore the treasures of the manor houses and unspoilt countryside walks surrounding them. Situated in the beautiful countryside of the Axe Valley, spot meerkats, zebra, flamingos, and chipmunks at Axe Valley Wildlife Park less than 1.5 miles away. Head south to the ever-popular Jurassic Coast and discover the seaside towns of Beer, Seaton and Lyme Regis, all within 7 miles.

A lovely clean and comfortable cottage. White company bedding and quality kitchen and comfy sofa. A good location in central Axminster close to shops and pubs and restaurants. Cheap parking nearby and lots of local places to visit - recommended.

This is a comfortable and characterful old cottage which has been very nicely modernised, with high quality fittings. It's ideally located for the town centre and was very convenient for the shops/pub and also for bus access for anyone travelling without a car.

Beautifully appointed cottage in a quiet convenient location. Everything is clean and comfortable. The outside space is very pleasant and well maintained with seating and a table for meals outside on warmer days. Plenty of parking close by but drop off and pick up only outside the cottage.
