Rest and recharge in this gorgeous lodge in the Devon countryside. The property sleeps four guests, making it a great couples’ retreat or base for a family who loves getting out and about in nature. Discover breathtaking walks from your front door, or hop in the car to explore Exmoor, the North Devon beaches, or the South West Coast Path (all within 20 miles). The property’s piece de resistance is its stunning balcony, where you can dine alfresco and relax in the hot tub as the sun sets over the fields.
The stylish lodge is decorated in a contemporary style, with neutral paintwork and chic furniture. On the ground floor is an open-plan kitchen/diner, where you can whip up tasty meals to enjoy together around the picnic-style dining table. The two inviting bedrooms are located on this floor: there’s a king-size with an en-suite shower room and a twin with a trundle bed to accommodate another guest if needed. The family bathroom completes the ground floor. Upstairs, discover a bright lounge with countryside views, comfortable sofas, and a Smart TV. Patio doors lead onto a beautiful balcony, where you’ll find loungers for relaxing in the sunshine, furniture for al fresco dining, and a hot tub.
As well as woodland walks nearby, you’ll also be just 15 miles from Exmoor National Park, with its network of remote footpaths and coastal trails. At its north, you’ll find the picturesque villages of Lynton and Lynmouth. Potter amongst the fishermen’s cottages in Lynmouth, before hopping on the spectacular cliff railway to explore Lynton and the dramatic Valley of Rocks. The ancient town of Barnstaple (11.5 miles) is a great place to pick up local produce, thanks to its historic pannier market, and you can also join the Tarka Trail cycle route from the town.
