This spacious family home enjoys a prime location in the heart of Appledore and boasts views across the estuary and out to sea. Sleeping seven guests, the property is perfect for get-togethers with friends and loved ones. The area is a paradise for walkers, with nearby routes taking you along the South West Coast Path and Tarka Trail. You’ll also be close to some of the region’s most-loved beaches, including Westward Ho! (3.5 miles away).

The end-of-terrace cottage is arranged across three floors. A couple of steps lead to the front door, and once inside you’ll find a warm and welcoming home, with a clever blend of styles and vibrant pops of colour throughout. The spacious lounge/diner boasts fabulous views through the bay window, and has a wood burner for chilly evenings. Unwind on the comfy seating to watch the Smart TV/DVD, or enjoy mealtimes at the dining table. A stylish kitchen is also located on the ground floor. On the first floor, you will find two bedrooms – a king-size with an en-suite shower room and a double - along with a family bathroom. The final bedroom is a family room, with a double and a single bed, located on the second floor. Outside, there is a small courtyard with a handy hose for cleaning muddy boots.

Wander out of the cottage and onto Appledore’s narrow, cobbled streets. Peruse the independent shops, before popping into one of the tea rooms for a coffee and homemade cake. In summer, a foot ferry takes you across the estuary to the popular seaside village of Instow, where you can build sandcastles and eat ice creams on the beach. There are some excellent family attractions nearby, including The Milky Way Adventure Park and North Devon Wake Park (both within 12 miles).

The views from the house are wonderful and we found the onsite parking invaluable. The house is comfortable and well equipped. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly to queries.

This was the third year in a row we have been to Appledore. The house was the nicest one we have stayed in. Facilities and location were perfect.

The cottage is spacious and in a fabulous position in Appledore. The small green in front of the cottage has panoramic views of the estuary and the sunsets can be spectacular! There is parking at the rear (which is a bonus in Appledore) but its quite tight, not for the faint hearted and wont fit a larger car.

We had an absolute perfect time in the sea spray and in Appledore! We were even allowed to stay outside the usual set of days, because they did not match our holiday plans. How very kind! I would absolutely recommend this place as a family stay in North Devon! We all felt home very quickly!

Lovely place to stay, clean and very spacious. Beautiful views over the estuary, great places to eat especialy Flames and the Yard. Recommend going over to Instow by the Ferry that us run by volunteers, there is a lovely dog friendly beach there. Clovelly is worth a visit too.
