Offering the very best slice of rural Devonshire living, boasting cosy, generous interiors and a wonderfully peaceful village location, this hideaway is the perfect spot to admire breathtaking far-reaching countryside views and explore the magical North Devon coastline that you won’t be able to help but fall in love with.

After a long day exploring, cosy up beside the inviting warmth of the wood burner in the lounge to keep chilly toes and paws toasty as you unwind on the comfy sofas for the ultimate film night in front of the Smart TV. Grab the delicious local produce you’ve collected and head into the adjoining kitchen/diner to whip up a hearty feast to feed the crowd seated around the dining table. When you can’t resist the call of bedtime any longer, retreat to the ground floor bedroom for a well-earned rest or head upstairs to find a further two bedrooms, which feature a calming neutral colour palette and far-reaching countryside views that’ll send you to sleep dreaming of tomorrow’s adventure. Soak up your countryside scenery by dining alfresco on the patio whilst children and four-legged friends let off some steam playing on the large lawn.

The small village of Lee is nestled between the vibrant coastal towns of Woolacombe and Ilfracombe, in a deep, wooded combe surrounded by a craggy cove (2 miles) that you can explore at low tide, boasting interesting rockpools and golden sand. With a 3-mile stretch of award-winning beach, waves rolling in from the Atlantic and access to the South West Coast Path, surf the tide at Woolacombe 4 miles away before exploring the independent shops and restaurants behind the dunes. Search for seals and dolphins against the backdrop of the beautiful coastline of Ilfracombe aboard a boat trip from Ilfracombe’s Victorian harbour 4 miles away.

Lovely clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped cottage set in beautiful surroundings. The secure field was great for our dog. Jane and Jim were both friendly and helpful, Perno the dog was also friendly and the kids loved playing with her. The Sunday arrival day was great for travelling both ways.

We have stayed in a lot of cottages and this is head and shoulders above any others we have stayed in. Really well equipped and the most comfortable bed we've slept in (other than our own!). The owners are incredibly helpful and their dogs are lovely - so great for ours to have some friends to play with!
