Located on the border of Devon and Cornwall, this classic cottage holiday is the ideal accommodation for those seeking beautiful walks, wildlife spotting and plenty of wonderful beach days. Up to four guests are welcome at this stunning stone-built retreat which has a wood burner and many skylights.
This attractive barn is located on the owner’s working farm and is bursting with original features, adding to its cosy atmosphere. After a day out exploring, everyone can gather in the lounge to stretch out and relax in the comfort of the wood burner while the group’s chef prepares dinner. The kitchen/diner is the perfect place to cook up a storm with the local produce you picked up earlier in the day, while the dining table comfortably houses all four guests with ease. Once dinner is finished, throw open the French doors from the living room and bring the outside in, no matter the weather. Outside, you’ll find a large lawn with garden furniture and a shared utility room for running through those damp swimming costumes. Bedtimes are a dream with two delightful king-size rooms, with one benefitting from an en-suite. The home is exceptionally accessible too, thanks to the ground-floor shower room and handy stair lift.
Visitors can get the best of both worlds with this cottage; access to Devon and Cornwall. From the property, travel 6 miles to Widemouth Bay and the seaside town of Bude for sandy shores, surfing spots, endless rows of shops and independent cafes and pubs that provide meals that are sure to tickle the tastebuds. Avid walkers will definitely want to try the rugged coastline trail of Hartland Quay (22 miles), while wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate capturing the wild beauty of Bodmin and Dartmoor National Park.
