Relish the lakeside views from this chic property which is tucked away on a working farm near Holsworthy and Bude. With two en-suite bedrooms and a private hot tub, it’s a luxurious escape for couples or families looking to get away from it all in beautiful North Devon.

Carefully designed to include everything you’ll need for a relaxing getaway, this modern holiday home is generously sized and full of light. Its open-plan living space is both stylish and comfortable, including two sofas and a Smart TV for when you want a quiet evening in. Sliding doors to the deck offer wonderful vistas over the picturesque lake. Cooks will appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, and there’s space for everyone at the dining table, from which there are yet more lovely views. The two bedrooms each boast a Smart TV, glass doors to the deck and an en-suite shower and WC. One bedroom is king-size and the other has a super king-size zip-and-link bed, which can be made into two 3’ single beds on request. Outside, the private spacious patio area includes loungers, a BBQ and dining furniture, so you can make the most of the fresh air whether you want to dine outdoors or just relax. You can also enjoy the bubbling hot tub, fish by the lake or simply enjoy watching the sunsets.

Set beside 140 acres of farmland, the retreat  a mile from the village of Pyworthy, with its welcoming pub serving locally sourced produce, and 3 miles from the traditional market town of Holsworthy, where you’ll find shops, pubs, a variety of places to eat and a weekly pannier market. For swimming, sunbathing, sandcastle building and water sports, plus shops, galleries and restaurants, the popular resort of Bude is just 8 miles.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 king-size and 1 super king-size zip-and-link which can also be made into twins- request preferred bed make up prior to arrival with owner.
  • 2 en-suite shower rooms with WCs
  • Electric oven and hob, coffee maker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine
  • Large Smart TV's in lounge and in both bedrooms
  • EV charger at property- £50 charging deposit per car, payable to owner prior to arrival (unused balance refundable) Current rate 28pp/kWh. Untethered, no charge cable provided.
  • Private off-road parking for up to 2 cars
  • Private patio area with furniture, charcoal BBQ and hot tub
  • Please note- The lake is not enclosed or closed off; therefore children must be supervised at all times
  • Wi-Fi- Due to location Wi-Fi and phone signal can be intermittent.
  • The fishing lake contains a mixture of Rudd and small carp (up to 5-6lb) – the owners would describe it as naturally managed. Fishing on-site may vary depending on seasonal conditions, fish behaviour and angler skill.
  • Beach 8 miles, pub less than 1 mile and shops within 3 miles

  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards

We spent a really lovely week in Kingfishers. It was so calm and peaceful not only because of its amazing surroundings but also because of the clever design choices in the house. So beautiful and so comfortable. Thank you.
