Enjoy a morning swim before relaxing on the patio of a superb apartment overlooking the beach at glorious Croyde Bay. This lovely seaside property has a private gate with steps down to the wide, golden sands, beloved both by families who return every year and dedicated surfers. Sleeping four guests, the ground-floor apartment has a patio with glorious sea and sand views. The charming village of Croyde, with thatched cottages, shops and pubs, is within 1 mile and there are splendid scenic walks along the rugged North Devon coastline in this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Leave sandy shoes in the hallway before entering the light-filled lounge/kitchen diner. Tastefully furnished in contemporary style with nautical shades, this spacious living area features comfortable seating, a kitchen and a separate dining area overlooking the beach. There are two luxurious king-size bedrooms, both with zip-and-link beds which can made into twins, and each with an en-suite. Glass doors from the lounge lead to the private patio, with sun loungers, outdoor furniture and a wonderful view of sand and sea.

Visit the popular ice cream parlour in Croyde village, where you will also find a good range of surf and watercraft outlets for sale or hire. Enjoy one of the many walks along the South West Coast Path with breathtaking views, such as the 3-mile circular route to spectacular Baggy Point. Back in Croyde, treat yourself to a Devon cream tea in one of the village’s traditional tearooms. See more glorious golden beaches at the pretty seaside village of Woolacombe (5 miles) and Saunton Sands (2 miles), where the local golf club is open to visitors and has outstanding views.

Malmsmead is a stylish and well equipped contemporary apartment in a location which would be hard to beat. We stayed in truly atrocious weather but the flat was always warm thanks to underfloor heating. Croyde Bay is a surfers paradise but it is also excellent for family beach holidays.

The apartment was very well presented. The welcome pack was amazing better than any we have had before. Also there were tea towels dishwasher tablets and dish soap. In fact everything needed for a great holiday

Very clean and fresh apartment, with a fantastic view of the beach and sea. Lovely welcome basket, consisting of a fresh crusty loaf, fruit loaf, milk, orange juice, cream teas, and Costa filter coffee. Easy access to the beach (which was 10 feet away!), with a convenient lockbox for the key. Local, good quality food vans for pizza, curry etc. AlteRead morernatively, a 15 minute walk to the local town for pubs, bars, and restaurants. Hide
