Close to the beach with wonderful coastal and country walks nearby, this stylish cottage in the lovely North Devon village of Combe Martin makes the perfect base for friends or family to enjoy the area. It has a stunning open-plan living space, ideal for a group holiday, an enclosed patio garden for relaxing drinks, and handy storage for your surfboards.

The cottage has been furnished with guests’ comfort in mind, and has lovely, plush furniture to curl up on. Relax on the plump sofas in the lounge area and have a movie night in, rustle up delicious meals in the kitchen, with contemporary units, and eat together at the dining table, next to French doors out to the patio. Then head upstairs to bed in the three pretty bedrooms, a king-size, a small double, and a single room, there’s also a gorgeous bathroom where you’ll want to enjoy long soaks after a fun day out. Step outside to the patio, take your drinks with you and a good book and enjoy the sunshine in the fully enclosed garden, where there’s space to store your surfboards and beach gear.

Head out and explore the village’s excellent range of shops, cafes, and restaurants from just 100 metres from the cottage. Wander to the beach (100 metres away), a sheltered cove loved by rock poolers and water sports’ fans, you can hire kayaks and paddle boards in the village. Sea fishing is popular here too, or just take relax and sunbathe. Explore beautiful Exmoor National Park (200 metres), visit the stunning Woolacombe beach (10 miles), a surfing hotspot. For a day out, visit Combe Martin’s Dinosaur Park (1 mile), Watermouth Castle (3 miles) and Exmoor Zoo (7.5 miles), for thrill-seekers check out Keypitts Off Road Adventures (6.5 miles).

Cottage has been nicely renovated and has great location next to the beach . Unfortunately very musty and dank smelling. We tried airing but did not improve.

The cottage is in an excellent location really close to the beach, shops, cafes and restaurants. Its great that it has its own parking space. Combe Martin is a lovely little village with plenty of coastal walking trails and lots to see and do (Arlington Court is worth a visit as is Lynton & Lynmouth). Would definitely book again.

Had a lovely stay here, perfect location for beach - 2 minute walk! Local kayaking tour was excellent, great for access to Exmoor walks and other nearby Sandy beaches 15-30 min away! Clean and well equipped cottage, courtyard small but out and about all days so did not matter in the slightest.
