Sitting in a peaceful spot in rural North Devon, this idyllic cottage makes a wonderful place for a relaxing stay with friends or family (plus furry family members) ideally placed for exploring the local countryside, visiting nearby beaches and local attractions. It has a private patio and a large, shared garden with a rustic children’s play area and a BBQ.
The cottage is bright and welcoming with gorgeous original features, like the wooden beams in the kitchen/diner/lounge, the perfect space for rustling up delicious meals and sharing them together at the dining table, then relaxing on the comfy sofas in front of your current binge-watch on the Smart TV. There’s a shared utility room for doing laundry separate from the cottage. Head upstairs for a great night’s sleep in the two bright bedrooms, a double and a twin, the family bathroom is also on the first floor where you can enjoy quick showers and long soaks. Enjoy drinks on the patio and get the BBQ going in the shared garden area, with a big lawn and play equipment for the kids. Sit and watch the wildlife on the fenced pond, it’s fenced but please supervise children and pets.
Explore the great outdoors on foot or by bike on the Tarka Trail – a traffic-free path that traces an old railway line through stunning scenery (less than 650 metres away). For beach walks, head to the 2 miles of golden sands at Westward Ho! (12 miles), and venture to Exmoor (25.5 miles) and Dartmoor (20 miles).
