Lose yourselves for hours in the fascinating views out across the harbour when you stay at this character-laden cottage in Brixham. Sleeping six guests, the delightful, three-bedroom, former fisherman’s home offers magical, three-storey accommodation from its superb, elevated position.

Climb four steps and enter to find this cottage has a coastal theme throughout, with many interesting pieces of furniture and art contributing to its overall style. From the hall, amble through to the kitchen/diner to unpack the provisions you have bought in town, prepare a tasty meal, and sit down to dine together. Take two steps up to open the door onto the courtyard, where there is an outside WC. Head through into the lounge, which has a striking, stone fireplace and huge picture window that draws the views right inside. Gaze out across the harbour, chat or watch the Smart TV here on evenings you choose to stay in. Ascend the steep, winding, cottage-style staircase to find a family room with a king-size and single bed, plus a family bathroom with a free-standing bath, and a family shower room. Another steep, cottage-style staircase leads up to the second floor, where there is a double bedroom and another family room with a king-size and single bed. Spend summer afternoons relaxing on the tiered terrace, which is accessed by climbing 40 steps. Take in the sweeping coastal views and watch the lights of Brixham come on in the evening over a glass of fizz.

Stroll less than 0.5 miles to the beach at Brixham Breakwater or 500 metres into the centre of town, with its shops, cafes, and restaurants. Pick up the South West Coast Path from Brixham to enjoy a long walk in either direction. Plan a day trip to Dartmoor National Park, 18 miles away.
