This modern, two storey retreat surrounded by greenery near the North Devon coastline is perfect for families and their two travelling pups. Located in the centre of the pretty village of Bishops Tawton, guests are spoiled with a wide range of walking and cycling trails nearby, including the Tarka Trail which offers 180 miles of off-road cycling, with tearooms and pubs along the way. Beyond the host village, take a trip to the picturesque village of Instow (10 miles), well-known for its attractive and dog-friendly estuary beach and waterfront, with cafes, pubs and restaurants awaiting. In the summer months, hop on the pedestrian boat ferry across to Appledore and stroll around its pretty cobbled streets and quayside.

Stepping into this airy and welcoming retreat with an upside-down layout, you will immediately feel at home thanks to the thoughtful stylings and furnishings throughout. Enter into the open-plan living space made up of the lounge, kitchen and dining area that floods with natural light and offers views of the rolling hills around. The lounge area has all you need to relax after a day spent outdoors, with comfortable sofas and a wood burner for the pups to snooze next to as you watch your favourite shows on the TV. The well-equipped kitchen offers all the essentials to cook up delights for the rest of the family, which can be enjoyed from the spacious breakfast bar that sits under a skylight. At the end of the evening, head downstairs to find the property’s two bedrooms; a king-size room with an en-suite shower room and Freeview TV, plus a twin room with another en-suite shower room – this room can be converted into a super-king-size on request.
