This detached four-bedroom cottage is the perfect home away from home, smartly presented and lovingly furnished. The captivating coastal village of Shaldon is less than half a mile away, with its maze of narrow twisting streets, thatched cottages and listed Georgian homes. On chilly days, relax beside the gas fire and when the sun is shining, make the most of the south-facing patio where you can light the BBQ and dine alfresco.

Step inside this beautiful holiday cottage and be welcomed into a bright and spacious entrance hall. In the lounge, there are two matching sofas and a Smart TV, so you can curl up and watch a film, in the warmth of the coal-effect gas fire. The open-plan kitchen/dining room offers a large table and chairs, plus plenty of equipment to cater for your family meals. A utility room provides an additional fridge/freezer and a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There is also a twin zip-and-link (please specify if you require a double or 2 singles)  bedroom and a convenient shower room on the ground floor. Head upstairs and find another twin zip-and-link bedroom (please specify if you require a double or 2 singles) with an en-suite bathroom, a double bedroom and another twin bedroom, as well as a family bathroom. Outside, enjoy sunny days and sizzling BBQs on the south-facing covered patio.

Take a ride on Britain’s oldest passenger ferry, dating back to Saxon times, across the Teign Estuary, less than half a mile away. You can enjoy a spot of retail therapy in Teignmouth or take a stroll around the Victorian pier. Alternatively, take a short walk to Ness Cove Beach (1 mile), a secluded beach nestled within the cliffs and accessible through an original smugglers’ tunnel. Here, you can discover rock pools and enjoy a refreshing swim.

  • 4 bedrooms – 1 double, 1 twin, 2 twins (with super zip-and-link beds that may be arranged as king-size beds on request)

Very homely house, ideal for shops, pub and most importantly for us everything on the flat. Our dog loved the water which was only a stones throw from house. This was our third visit and we are looking to go back again next year.

This is our second visit in 6 months. The first visit was with friends, the second was to celebrate our 50th Golden Anniversary with our sons and our grandchildren, on Valentines day. The place is great for different generations, there is plenty of room, great beds and everything you need for a good holiday. Parking is fantastic especially for 3 cRead morears where space is so tight in Shaldon. Great proximity to the beach, great early morning walk on the beach with the dog. Will definitely be back. A very spacious and comfortable house. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of china and cutlery. The downstairs area of the kitchen, dining area and lounge all interlink which makes it a great social space. The beds were very comfortable. The house is centrally located in Shaldon and within very easy walking distance of the London Inn. ThRead moree garden is very secure for dogs. As a multi generational group we all really enjoyed our stay and it made an ideal base for us to visit our family who live nearby. Hide

Another very good stay and will be going back - very relaxing and everything within easy reach. It was appreciated where the owners realised that people use an air fryer, which was there for our use.

Great location, great parking for 3 cars as parking is very limited in Shaldon. The house has excellent accommodation for 3 couples ( 3 beds, 3 baths ) even though it sleeps 8. Close enough to beach and pubs, no need to use your car all week. Great bus service just up the road. Pubs supplied excellent food or the kitchen had everything you needed tRead moreo stay in. Wonderful house. This lovely four bed house is tucked away up a narrow lane but is perfect for the week away we just had. Beds were very comfortable, plenty of seating and a fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook. Teignmouth is just a few minutes away, and is a lovely eclectic place to wander. We visited a few old houses etc, but came across KeRead morents Caves by accident. If you are not claustrophobic I would highly recommend a visit. We also went to a nice restaurant called Smugglers Inn, which is not far from the town on the way out of Teignmouth. Be aware that the roads on Shaldon are very narrow, and you might have to back up now and then. The house no longer has a dvd player, but there is a smart tv. No hair dryer provided so pack your own.
