Upstairs are a family bathroom and three pretty bedrooms: a king-size with lovely views, plus two doubles. Outside, are terraces to the front and rear.
With coloured houses spilling down to the water and boats bobbing along the river, the harbour town of Dartmouth has a Mediterranean feel and a proud nautical history. Stroll around the winding streets, where you will find cafes, restaurants and shops. Dartmouth Castle (1 mile) still guards the entrance to the river after 600 years and has breathtaking views. From here, drink in more wonderful vistas on a 3.5-mile circular walk along the South West Coast Path to Little Dartmouth, a National Trust nature reserve. Dartmouth has two sheltered, sandy beaches and the estuary is a favourite spot for water sports enthusiasts. Enjoy a boat trip down the river and across to picturesque Kingswear (1 mile).
