Property code: OC-AUTUMN

Set in a central location in popular Ilfracombe, in a conservation area and only a short walk from Tunnels Beach and Tunnels Beaches romantic coastal wedding venue, this coastal-themed accommodation is perfect for a family or friends’ group of six. Explore the North Devon coast or take a boat trip out to Lundy before returning to your hillside base to soak up the coastal views and relax in the garden space.

Inside, the heart of this home is the open-plan kitchen/living/dining room providing a sociable space for preparing meals and entertaining. The comfortable sofas nestle by the wood burner, perfect after a day out exploring the coast and countryside. There are flexible sleeping options to suit a group of six, with four bedrooms available across the half-landing and first floor. The master bedroom boasts an en-suite shower room while the other bedrooms share a luxurious family bathroom with underfloor heating – ideal after days out on the North Devon coast. Accessed via 25 steps up from the road is the main front patio where you can dine alfresco with a cool glass of wine after a day’s adventure. The garden has a second seating area to the side and, in addition to this, up 30 steps from the front patio is a garden bench next to the small pond (fitted with a safety grill) at the very top of the garden.

Ilfracombe offers so much to its guests, whether you’re looking to dine out, soak up the culture or immerse yourself in nature. From the cottage, a half-mile stroll will take you past Wildersmouth Beach and on towards the popular heritage harbour area of this delightful Victorian coastal town. Here you will find shops, galleries, places to eat, and fishing and pleasure trips. Damian Hirst’s Verity sculpture provides an imposing sight at the entrance to the harbour. For active visitors, the rugged terrain and coastal scenery of the National Trust’s Torrs and South West Coast Path are less than half a mile away, while the popular 18-hole golf club is within 2 miles.

The house is mouldy. Particulary bad in the twin room. Mould of the walls in all the rooms and the place smelt musty, likely the result. Not great for my father who suffers with asthma. The bedding and chair cushions felt damp. This needs to be adddressed immediatley

The house is excellently located - short walk to the harbour, tunnel beaches and high street. Really well equipped. This was perfect for our family. Very thoughtfully supplied with tea/coffee & milk.
