Outside, there are beautiful unspoilt grounds, featuring a good-sized patio, outdoor dining furniture and charcoal BBQ so you can dine outside in warmer months.

Located just 2 miles from Drewsteignton, which sits in the valley of the river Teign, the village benefits from a post office and village store, country pub and a fine dining restaurant. The property is in the ideal location for those who love to explore, ramble and enjoy long walks along pretty, high hedge rowed country lanes and footpaths. Fingle Bridge is also 2 miles from the property, where a good food pub sits on the River Teign, providing excellent home cooked food, Sunday carverys and breathtaking scenery. For those hot summer days, the river provides many bathing areas and places to enjoy a picnic. Nearby, the village of Chagford is known for its vibrant local community, 15th and 16th-century buildings, independent shops, eateries and largest freshwater fed outdoor swimming pool in Devon – it also has a cracking pasty shop! The property is very impressive, a lot of dedication and love has gone into transferring a derelict barn into such beautiful accommodation. That said, the outside now needs attention and the cracked tile in the master sweet bathroom needs replacing. The only other issue was the far bedroom hot water which was non existent, you could run the tap forRead more 5 minutes and Luke warm at best. This was easy to work around by using the main bedroom shower. I would thoroughly recommend the property, just a few issues that could improve. Hide

The property is incredible...it is huge. You do need to go completely equipped with provisions as not the easiest to get out to ny shops . We were within an age range of 90 to 3 and it worked perfectly

The barn was just as we expected and nice and warm. One of the local circular walks goes past the end of the garden and Drewsteignton village was an acceptable walk - and where we enjoyed an evening meal in the community-owned pub and a visit to the church. Would definitely revisit.

The property is amazing inside and huge and superb for a family or friends holiday together. We loved the snooker table which is a great feature to have and one of the reasons we booked. Would be good if an additional tv were in the lounge near the kitchen so you had a choice where to sit. We found at Christmas we wanted to watch different channelsRead more which wasnt possible. The bedrooms are a great size as are the bathrooms and very modern with comfortable beds. The owner Nikki was readily available for any issues that arose and made sure they were sorted quickly which was a real plus. We would love to return to South Cuma in the future and wouldnt hesitate recommending it. Hide

Beautiful situated house. Clean and tidy rooms, very well equipped home. The track to the house is very rural so low vehicles do struggle to get there.

We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed being away from everyone and the silence. It was the attraction for us The house was fabulous. We each found a space , me reading in the recliners, boys playing snooker and we were able to come together to play games, cards and even dance. I think that combination was a winner!
