After a week in this apartment, the view is star of the show. It is a beautiful location and lovely to sit and watch the water. The kitchen was well equipped and meant eating in was a very positive experience. The cleaners had done a fabulous job. There should be photos showing the steep and uneven decent to the apartment so guests are aware in aRead moredvance what they will be undertaking on a daily basis. This is not for the faint hearted or for families. We travelled with a 1 year old and whilst the ad did say 89 steps, photos would have proved very helpful in advance of booking, packing and travelling. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. Mattresses toppers are low in cost and would add much comfort. Wiring should be hidden if advertising for family friendly as this looked unappealing and poses risks for young children. As mentioned, we travelled with a one year old, the apartment was extremely cold on arrival (early March) which meant our little one could not sleep. It took a few days to get this up to temperature. For the cost of the apartment, the accommodation should be warm on arrival. The bathroom is very dated and poorly set out for a family. The screen is siliconed onto the bath meaning bathing our son was impossible. The water flow was weak. The hoover was not working which needs looking at. The parking is very problematic in this location. There is a permit for a car park in town but unpacking the car nearby is very difficult. Overall it was a lovely location but the accommodation needs improvement. It did not feel value for money. Also be aware when booking, you pay Holiday Cottages for an Accidental Damage Deposit - this is non refundable. Hide

A very comfortable and well equipped cottage with magnificent views across the Dart. It is a great base for walking in the surrounding area and Dartmouth had an enviable collection of boutique shops. The best beach for swimming is just 15 minutes drive away (Blackpool Sands Beach - a light shingle beach and calm deep water, ideal for swimming). ItRead more was nice to sit on the balcony in the early morning sun or in the evening - you are a bit overlooked by the neighbours, but the view of the Dart soon means you ignore them! Parking in the main car park was no hassle and an easy walk to and from the cottage. Hide

Beautiful apartment with amazing views. Really enjoyed our stay. Had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. Only downside were the steps to and from the apartment but worth it once you get into the apartment
