This cottage is all about the location, which is stunning! Inside, there are a few updates needed, but its comfortable. Disappointing that there was no welcome pack after the walk from the car park - take some milk if you don't want to have to climb the steps as soon as you arrive! Regarding the steps - we're in our 60s and found them fine

We had an amazing holiday at Lower Gulls Way Boathouse with our 2 small dogs. The house was absolutely stunning, so comfortable and immaculately clean with everything you could possibly need for your stay there. We spent such a lovely week there and what made it so special was the amazing view of the River Dart from the terrace, lookng over to KingRead moreswear, and all at our front door. It was so quiet and peaceful, watching the little boats and ships sail across the River Dart. We had to keep pinching ourselves as we couldn't believe how beautful the location was. The 89 steps down to the house were not too bad, but may be a little bit of a workout if you have to go up and down them several times over the course of a day, but there are parts of the stairs where you can have a little rest and just admire the view. The steps down to the house were worth it though for the idylic location and stunning views. We had our blind dog with us who managed most of the steps but had to be carried sometimes, making it a little challenging but our other small dog coped easily going up and down them. The permit parking was fine for us as we would walk into town every day and it was only a 15 minute walk to the car park from the house. Dartmouth is such a beautiful area and central for visting other nearby locations like Brixham and Paignton. There are lots of ferry and day trips to nearby Dittisham and around the River Dart. We had a lovely 15 minute walk from the accomodation to Dartmouth Castle, passing by the beautiful Warfleet Creek, through leafy paths, to be met by stunning views from the Castle, over the River Dart and Castle Cove. We would definitely return to this holiday home and I'm sure we'll be talking about this amazing holiday for a long time to come. It's one of the best holidays we have ever had. Hide

Excellent apartment with a fantastic view. Well located for all amenities, pubs/restaurants/shops etc. Car parking was only a10 minute walk away. Only thing potential guests should be aware of is the access via the flight of steps which would probably not be suitable for anyone with any walking difficulties.

Lovely location the steps are a challenge especially on arrival and departure. We really enjoyed our stay but because of the steps we probably wouldnt book again. We are in our early sixties and not unfit but found them too much for us. The patio is a bonus as the weather was good snd we were able to lounge in the sun with a great view.

The property is lovely and beautifully located on the river dart - we had everything we needed for our stay. Just wish there was not 89 steps to get to it but I would definitely book again as the location and accommodation make up for it!

Amazing location to stay in Dartmouth, as the property is right on the waterside, which was my primary reason for booking. The property is also a stones throw away from the town centre. My wife and I, along with the dogs had a lovely few days exploring Dartmouth and the surrounding areas and also marvelling at the river Dart from the comfort of ourRead more holiday property. Hide
