This stylish, three-storey holiday home boasts an elevated position in the pretty village of Kingswear, with fantastic views across the River Dart. The property sleeps eight guests and has ample space for friends, generations, families and walkers to spread out and relax, with two lounge areas and a choice of spaces for al fresco entertaining. You’ll be perfectly placed for day trips to Dartmouth (via ferry) or Brixham (7 miles), and nearby family attractions include Woodlands Theme Park and Paignton Zoo (both 7.5 miles). Located close to beautiful coastal walks and beaches.

The stunning holiday home boasts river and countryside views from almost every room, and is decorated in a sleek, contemporary style. The property has a reverse-level layout, and on the top floor, you’ll find a vast lounge/kitchen/diner, with large picture windows letting in plenty of natural light. At one end of the room is a stylish kitchen area, with a breakfast bar for perching with a morning coffee whilst taking in the spectacular views. Taking centre stage is a fabulous dining table for hosting dinner parties and family gatherings. After dinner, retire to the comfortable sofas to chat over a bottle of wine. Heading downstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities. One of the bedrooms also has a dressing room, as well as direct access to the garden. The remaining bedroom – again with an en-suite bathroom – is down another flight of stairs, and has direct access to a decked balcony. On this floor, you’ll also find a second lounge with comfortable seating and a Smart TV/DVD, along with access to the balcony. Completing the accommodation is a handy utility room. The outside space is arranged across different levels, offering a choice of views and areas for al fresco dining. Choose from the gorgeous balcony overlooking the river, the sun terrace complete with rattan furniture, or the pretty gravelled area surrounded by plants and shrubs. Steps connect the various spaces, all of which are fully enclosed.

The colourful riverside village of Kingswear is the perfect place to switch off and relax. Enjoy picturesque walks from the village along the Dart Valley Trail or the South West Coast Path, or perhaps board the Dartmouth Steam Railway for a tranquil jaunt through the South Devon countryside. The train stops at Agatha Christie’s former holiday home, Greenway, and also Goodrington Sands on the English Riviera. From Kingswear, a short ferry ride takes you to Dartmouth, where you’ll find an impressive array of independent shops and eateries.

This is a great property to stay in, for a week. The view is amazing, the house makes the most of it. Local amenities arent far away, and its a pleasant walk to the ferry to go across to Dartmouth. Theres lots to do in the area, or not, if you want to quietly relax. Great for dogs and walking. The house is in a really quiet area, minimal traffic,Read more vehicular or pedestrian. The walk up to the house is quite steep, depending on which route you take. Overall, a brilliant week, in a great house. Hide

We loved the house, great location and wonderful views but there is an issue with noise in the bedroom below the living room. The slightest noise, even just creeping across the living room floor reverberated loudly in the bedroom. Love the wooden floor but perhaps rugs might help with the noise. We had a couple of early risers in our party so made Read morethings difficult. Hide

With 4 bedrooms and plenty of room Treetops is a great house for a family holiday, with lovely views across the water to Dartmouth. It's about a 10 minute walk down to the little ferry over to Dartmouth but the most direct way is also very steep, however there is an alternative way that is less steep and takes a few minutes longer. It's great to leRead moreave the cars and just walk to the many attractions in the area as parking in Dartmouth can be a real problem in high season. Hide
