This stylish, three-storey holiday home boasts an elevated position in the pretty village of Kingswear, with fantastic views across the River Dart. The property sleeps eight guests and has ample space for friends, generations, families and walkers to spread out and relax, with two lounge areas and a choice of spaces for al fresco entertaining. You’ll be perfectly placed for day trips to Dartmouth (via ferry) or Brixham (7 miles), and nearby family attractions include Woodlands Theme Park and Paignton Zoo (both 7.5 miles). Located close to beautiful coastal walks and beaches.

The stunning holiday home boasts river and countryside views from almost every room, and is decorated in a sleek, contemporary style. The property has a reverse-level layout, and on the top floor, you’ll find a vast lounge/kitchen/diner, with large picture windows letting in plenty of natural light. At one end of the room is a stylish kitchen area, with a breakfast bar for perching with a morning coffee whilst taking in the spectacular views. Heading downstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities. One of the bedrooms also has a dressing room, as well as direct access to the garden. The remaining bedroom – again with an en-suite bathroom – is down another flight of stairs, and has direct access to a decked balcony. On this floor, you’ll also find a second lounge with comfortable seating and a Smart TV/DVD, along with access to the balcony. Completing the accommodation is a handy utility room. The outside space is arranged across different levels, offering a choice of views and areas for al fresco dining. Choose from the gorgeous balcony overlooking the river, the sun terrace complete with rattan furniture, or the pretty gravelled area surrounded by plants and shrubs. Steps connect the various spaces, all of which are fully enclosed.

The colourful riverside village of Kingswear is the perfect place to switch off and relax. Enjoy picturesque walks from the village along the Dart Valley Trail or the South West Coast Path, or perhaps board the Dartmouth Steam Railway for a tranquil jaunt through the South Devon countryside. The train stops at Agatha Christie’s former holiday home, Greenway, and also Goodrington Sands on the English Riviera. All three generations of our family loved their stay. The younger ones fascinated by the upside down house! An amazing property and location. So much to see and do without the need to get in the car and drive all the time. Would definitely look at staying again. Thank you.

Treetops was a fabulous place to stay. There were 6 of us, all adults, who found the property perfect for our stay. The views were amazing, both day and night. We would certainly consider booking the cottage again in the future.

The place smelled throughout of fried food and the windows inside were really dirty. As was the full drop mirror at the top of the stairs from the lounge. I bought some window cleaner and cloths. Cleaned them and the mirror. The difference was amazing. Transformed the light levels and the views. The cleaning also removed the fried food smell

The house provided a good base for visiting Greenway and Coleton Fishacre, both national Trust. Also enjoyed taking the ferry to Dartmouth. The Ship Inn was very cosy and food was good.

The location is good with superb views of the harbour but there is only space for 1 car in the drive, any other vehicles have to park on the road. The walk to and from the shops/pubs/ferry is quite steep, and may not be suitable for less able guests. There is a car park at the bottom. Having 2 lounges is a plus point, and generally the beds are Read morecomfortable. Some of the showers leak but we had been warned about that beforehand. Hide
