This spacious, detached bungalow is peacefully situated on the edge of the picturesque Exmoor village of Dulverton, on the south edge of the national park. The perfect setting for a family holiday, you can spend your days roaming the moor and exploring the charming village, and your evenings dining alfresco in the fresh country air, listening to the sound of the stream at the bottom of the garden.
Backing onto open countryside, this bungalow is tranquil both inside and out, with traditional country-style décor. The dual-aspect living room maximises the wonderful rural views and is cosy no matter what the season, with a feature stone fireplace with an electric fire for those cooler evenings. An archway leads to the dining room with a hatch to the kitchen and a door out to the conservatory offering lovely garden and countryside views. Sliding doors lead out to the patio, an ideal place for al fresco dining. Two bedrooms – a double and a twin – offer garden or countryside views. A stylish shower room completes the accommodation. Outside, the south-facing garden has a large expanse of lawn with mature shrubs and borders. It looks out over the adjacent meadows and includes an unfenced stream (not enclosed).
There is plenty to see and do nearby. Around 0.5 miles away is the picturesque village centre with amenities including character pubs, a small supermarket and a good range of shops, an art gallery and a selection of tea rooms and restaurants. Dulverton is also the chosen home of the Exmoor National Park Authority headquarters and visitor centre, and offers an ideal base from which to roam the splendour of the region by foot, horseback or car. Further afield, the National Trust’s Knightshayes Gardens (13 miles) is a popular day out and further on from that is the Grand Western Canal (16 miles) offering picturesque walks.
