With its deeply cut valleys, spectacular cliff-top walks, heather moors and many famous beauty spots, walkers and their dogs will be spoilt for choice when it comes to easy or challenging walks along the beach, riverside or moorland. There are even opportunities for horse riding, fishing or a safari over Exmoor. For those who wish to go further afield, the sandy surfing beaches of Woolacombe Bay (22 miles), the picturesque harbour town of Ilfracombe (19 miles) or the market town of Barnstaple (18.5 miles) are all within easy reach. You can go kayaking in Combe Martin (13 miles) and visit the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park.
