One of only two cottages within the grounds of the owner’s own home the property is ideal for couples or a small family. On the ground level, there is a spacious and very comfortable living room with a vaulted ceiling, feature beams and a TV with a BluRay player and a Bluetooth speaker. Three internal steps up into a well-equipped kitchen/diner where there’s a round table seating four guests. Two attractive bedrooms are on the lower ground level, an en-suite double and a twin. A family bathroom is also on this level. At the front of the property, you have your own patio, with a gas BBQ and an enclosed garden overlooking a small meadow which is a great place to relax and enjoy outdoor dining. Walkers will love to trek up the lane for around half a mile and arrive at the open moorland. For those who would like to see the moor on horseback, there are stables close by.
The holiday home is located on a quiet country lane and is only half a mile from the small hamlet of Barbrook with its local stores. The cottage is a great base for those wishing to explore the splendour of Exmoor by foot, on horseback or in the car. Many famous beauty spots are either within an exhilarating walk or a short drive away including the Valley of the Rocks (2.5 miles) with its herd of wild goats, or the picturesque confluence of rivers at the National Trust's Watersmeet (4 miles). The unique water-powered cliff railway (2 miles) that joins Lynton and Lynmouth is also an experience not to be missed. Further afield, family attractions such as the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park (10.5 miles) and Watermouth Castle (14.5 miles) are a short drive away and the sandy surfing beaches of Woolacombe (21 miles) and Croyde (24 miles) are just a touch further.
