One of a prestigious rank of ‘Regency’ style properties close to Meadfoot Beach, this holiday home is delightful with accommodation over three floors. With three bedrooms, the property is designed to optimise the fabulous views and the first-floor sitting room has a wonderful balcony from which you can sit and relax.

Inside the property and on the ground floor, you’ll find the stylish kitchen and dining area which is well fitted out and a lovely sociable space opening onto the sunny courtyard - perfect for al fresco dining or relaxing with a coffee over breakfast. There’s also a handy cloakroom as well as a snug area. Upstairs on the first floor is the bright and spacious sitting room with French doors leading out onto the sunny balcony. One of the twin bedrooms is also on the first floor. Up on the second floor is a fabulous master double bedroom with an en-suite shower room as well as a lovely twin. There is also a family bathroom.

This ‘go to’ resort on the English Riviera was a favourite hot spot of the Victorian era with grand regency crescents lined with townhouses. Today, Torquay has some good restaurants shops and cafes, and the vibrant waterfront with its marina and harbour is a must where you can stroll along the palm-lined promenade and visit the seafront gardens. Whether you’re a couple looking for a relaxing break or a family with children to entertain, there’s something for everyone. The model village at Babbacombe (2 miles) is delightful to walk around… feel like a giant as you carefully tread the tiny streets. Nearby Paignton Zoo (5.5 miles) is well regarded for its wildlife conservation efforts with an impressive collection of wildlife including a komodo dragon! Further afield, head inland and explore the Dartmoor National Park (16 miles) with its tors and myriad of walking trails.

Why not attend one of the many annual events and festivals in the area, Torbay Air Show, Electric Bay festival, Paignton Festival, The Torbay Royal Regatta, Agatha Christie Festival, England's Seafood Feast, Devon County Show and the Bay of Lights

The holiday cottage was so well placed in a quiet area, just metres above meadfoot beach with access to coastal walks right from the doorstep, yet only 1 mile walk to Torquay harbour, bars, restaurants and shops. The rental property was well placed for visiting the surrounding areas of Brixham, Paignton and Babbacombe. We used buses and never movedRead more our car once during our week's stay. The perfect holiday cottage. A three minute walk to Meadfoot Beach and Cafe, which are excellent. A two minute walk to the Terrace Bar at the Osbourne Hotel, which is open to non-guests and has the best view in Torquay. And a ten minute walk into Torquay, (probably more like twenty minutes coming back due to the hill !). The house itself is well maRead moreintained, spotlessly clean, with a high number of appliances (2 coffee machines) and all the equipment you will need. The house is split over 3 floors, so felt spacious and airy. The back garden is small, but big enough and we spent many hours in the evening sun, sat on the balcony at the front watching the world go by. We have stayed in a number of holiday cottages in this area over the last few years and this is undoubtedly the best, so much so that we have already booked for next year. Hide
