We loved staying at Bay View. Combe Martin was a lovely place. We loved the bay and the hills surrounding and the views were spectacular. So dog friendly at this time of year everywhere! We went to Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Heddons Mouth, Exmoor National Park, Lynton & Lynmouth and Watersmeet. All lovely to visit and beautiful in Autumn. Just beware Read moremost things in this part of Devon close down for the season in Winter, so lots of cafes not open. Great Co-op in CM and a good Tesco superstore just 15 mins away in Ilfracombe. Lots of walking nearby and further afield, fantastic beaches and little hidden coves. The cottage was warm, comfortable and very well equipped. It was furnished really well and very bright and colourful. I imagine it is wonderful in summer with the large garden and lots of seating areas. The highlight was the view from the living room, we sat there in the 2 comfy chairs every night and even watched the fireworks on bonfire night. We ate at the Sawmill pub and had the best Sunday dinner weve ever had! Also had fish and chips from Black and White at the bottom of the high street which were fabulous. Overall a very lovely out of season holiday! Hide
