Beautifully decorated and spread across three floors, this former pub has plenty of space for nine guests and two furry family members, with added extras like two snugs and a hot tub. Whether you’re holidaying with friends or family, it’s the perfect base for enjoying the stunning South Devon coast – less than 200 metres from the nearest beach, pub, and shop.
The house has been refurbished with an eye for detail and is stylish throughout. Leave your shoes and coats in the hall, with a handy downstairs cloakroom, and head to the kitchen/diner with a large Range oven and French doors that lead outside. The lounge has a fresh nautical theme with comfy seating, a wood burner-effect electric fire, and French doors to the garden. It connects to the cosy snug, with a Smart TV and DVD. Three of the four beautiful bedrooms are on the first floor: a king-size master with an en-suite bathroom, a double, and a twin (can be a super-king-size), along with the family bathroom. Bedroom four is on the second floor, featuring a king-size and a single bed, and a cosy snug with a TV, table football and bean bags to lounge on. Dine alfresco in the courtyard then relax under the stars in the hot tub. There’s also a hose for washing sandy feet and paws.
Shaldon is an unspoilt fishing village on the Teign Estuary opposite Teignmouth. Head to the beach for sailing, paddling and rock pooling, or wander through the Smugglers Tunnel to Ness Cove Beach. Catch a ferry to Teignmouth to explore the town’s cafes, bars, and restaurants. Walk along the South West Coast Path to Labrador Bay (1.5 miles) for amazing views. You can also visit Shaldon Wildlife Trust Zoo (1 mile) or Go Ape at Haldon Forest (11 miles).
Why not attend one of the many events in the area like the Shaldon Regatta, Torbay Air Show, Teignmouth Air show, Devon County Show and there are many various local food and music festivals to enjoy.
