Sitting on a quiet street, this stunning townhouse makes a cosy and comfortable place for friends to stay, with heaps to do nearby in Dartmouth and it’s within easy reach of the Dartmoor National Park and South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Spread over four floors, it comfortably sleeps six guests plus two canine companions.

In a central yet peaceful location in the town, the house is beautifully presented throughout – combining original features and modern design to create a very attractive home from home. It has a spacious kitchen/diner for cooking up delicious meals and enjoying them together, with a double Range oven and rustic dining table. The lovely lounge, which has a Smart TV, a comfy corner sofa, a wood burner-effect gas fire, and cool nautical pieces, is on the first floor. On the second floor are two elegant bedrooms - a double and a twin - the family bathroom, and a quirky walk-in shower. The top floor is home to the master bedroom, a gorgeous double room with a Smart TV and DVD, and an en-suite shower room. The house has no private outside space, but the town is right on your doorstep.

Step outside and you’ll find a choice of fantastic coffee shops, tearooms, pubs, and restaurants to choose from. Wander to the waterfront to explore the harbour and head out on the water by kayak, paddleboard, or hire a boat. The stunning beach of Blackpool Sands (2.5 miles) is the perfect spot to relax, swim or go rock pooling. Wander along the South West Coast Path or head to Dartmoor National Park (15 miles) for country walks. Dartmouth hosts many festivals during the year, including a music festival in May, the Royal Regatta in August, and a food festival in October.

Be aware its 4 floors overall..first floor shower room not fit for purpose. First floor bedrooms really small. A quirky cottage needing overall redecoration but on the whole everything on your doorstep when you step outside is an added bonus.

The break was for my 70th birthday. We had the en-suite bedroom on the 3rd floor. Would definitely come back.

We had a very enjoyable short break over New Years. The location of The Drum House was perfect and although parking was in the main car park that proved to be no issue as we were able to pull up outside the house for a few minutes to unload/load the car. If you are staying in the area you wont move the car again annyway and the car parking pass is Read morea good money saver. Hide
