What a sweet place, and what kind and hospitable hosts. We loved the calm and quiet of the location, the lay out for us worked as we had a ambulant wheelchair user in our party, and although the shower is not large on the main floor , it perfectly accessible for an ambulatory user. There was essentials like tea, coffee, cleaning products and a bottRead morele of bubbles, which was a thoughtful gift, and a small laundry room on site. We had a guide dog with us, and there was a safe exercise spot for him, he also found a lovely playmate in the owners dog. The property is set over two floors, with a bathroom on each, the lower floor rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable, I slept the best I have done for ages there. Peter and Carey, are exceptionally good hosts, and they have thought of everything, the property is very clean, with a shabby chic/cottage core vibe which makes it very comfortable, and chilled. Pre arrival to the cottage, I would arrange a delivery for when you are there, or do a pre shop, there isnt much locally, but there is a good pub, and small local shop in the village. The only downside is the road in and out of the property, we are in a big WAV, so its a chunky monkey and on a single track road, with limited passing places, it was a bit bumpy and nervey each time in or out, but its a couple of minutes of bumps twice a day, so for us it wasnt a huge problem. But for anyone with epilepsy or sensitivities to a jiggly road, this may not be ideal. Other than that, its a sweet place, ideal if you want to chill out, with a real fire, a glass of something good, curled up with a book (or iPad - the Wi-Fi is good) & your furry friend and family. From the property we accessed several national trust properties, ilfracombe, Barnstaple and Tiverton. The nearest big supermarket was about, 20 mins away I think, which was a Tesco. All in all a thoughtful space, genuinely nice hosts, a clean and welcoming property, quiet, sweet and very chilled. A massive thanks to Peter & Carey, for kindness and hospitality - we would definitely stay again . Hide

A beautiful cottage, off the beaten track but all the better for it. No traffic noises just nature. Wonderful.

A beautiful, well stocked cottage with all the home comforts. We enjoyed the upside down bedrooms and facilities and the farm is peaceful and scenic. The kitchen in the living area was a bonus and there is access to a shared laundry room. But be aware of a long windy downhill road to the cottage! Not for the nervous driver!
