Enjoy walks alongside the River Taw in pretty Rock Park, which also houses a skate park and adventure playground. Another market town, picturesque Bideford (13 miles), sits on the estuary of the River Torridge. Enjoy boat trips on the Torridge from the quaint fishing village of Appledore, a further 3.5 miles away. The beautiful gardens at RHS Rosemoor are within 11 miles, and the vast sands of Westward Ho! Beach (18 miles) include a dog-friendly section.
