Enjoy a family break at this dog-friendly holiday retreat in Branscombe, East Devon. Sleeping five guests, the three-bedroom property is a 0.5-mile walk from the beach and the South West Coast Path. Just over 3.5 miles from Seaton and 7.5 miles from Sidmouth, it offers the opportunity to enjoy tranquil and secluded corners of Devon as well as livelier, seaside destinations.

Let yourselves in from the back of the building, where there is a hall, with utility space and access to a WC, and hang your coats and leave your boots here before making your way up to the floor above. Emerge in a homely lounge/diner, with a delightful, exposed stone wall and door on to a balcony. Sit back and enjoy the comfort of the space on your evenings in, perhaps in front of the TV, playing games together or with your holiday reads. Find everything you need through in the kitchen to help you cater for your party with the tasty Devonshire ingredients you have bought on your trips out, then serve up the dishes you have made through in the lounge/diner. Follow the stairs up from the lounge to your bedrooms. These include a twin, a single and a double, with a TV. The family bathroom is also up here. Pour yourselves a glass of chilled wine in the evening and unwind out on the balcony to the quiet background sound of the babbling brook. There is parking for two cars at this property.

Head into Seaton to spend time on the beach, have a go at kayaking or take a trip on its celebrated tramway. Pull on your hiking boots and walk 2 miles along the South West Coast Path for spectacular views of the Jurassic coastline. Visit the Beer Quarry Caves 1.5 miles away.
