We really enjoyed our stay at The Haven. Excellent location and a comfortable place to stay. We would certainly be happy to stay there again and plan to book a week later this year.

Very enjoyable stay in this cosy, well positioned cottage. Everything we needed was on hand. Parking is an issue but we found a spot a few minutes walk away.

The Haven is an excellent holiday cottage, well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Nice little garden to relax in the sun over a glass of wine. The cottage is set in a lovely village, with a good pub just across the road serving good food. It is only 15minutes walk to the beach over a good path. Accurate info for the cottage, it's content, cleanliness etc. We loved the location and I was impressed with the communication which made getting to the cottage and getting in etc. Easy.

The info to get the key said to the left, but to the left the row of cottages carried on. So you have to walk to the end of the cottages turn right up an alley to the cottage then the key is in an outside summer house. Not good. Had issues with the wifi, I saw the log ons in a folder, but they were old ones, also router was turned off. The TV had Read more no sound, I managed to get in touch with the owner who didn't want to know. Told me to go and see you In Beer, we had just come back from there. Then said go to the beach you'll get a signal, we couldn't. I asked him to call you, but he wouldn't. I managed to get in touch with the office who then had to get the owner to call me on the landline, and tell me how to reset the TV. Not my forte, but I managed to do it. Also I have never been to a property where no milk had been left, only two sticks. As the shops are 2/3 miles away we didn't want to have to go out after we had just arrived. I asked in the pub and they gave me some milk. We would not go to Branscombe again. Hide

We knew the village as we have been before and The Haven was a lovely little base with everything you need. Lots of towels were provided which isnt always the case and overall the property was lovely and clean. The only small negative was that the pillows in the main bedroom didnt smell fresh, they had quite a nasty damp smell. So we just used someRead more of the spares from our childrens room and left them aside. It didnt spoil anything and we would still return but it was a little off putting upon arrival. Perhaps, as noted by others, a small welcome pack would go a long way. Hide
