Set in a private, gated development in Torquay, this stylish townhouse is a wonderful base for groups or big families to enjoy a break in South Devon. Relax and unwind in the beautiful gardens and take in the stunning views of the harbour or sit out on the balcony until the sun sets. The spacious living areas are perfect for socialising, and the town’s main beach is only 1 mile away when you want to feel the sand between your toes.

Climb 13 steps to enter the property on the first floor, where you'll find a well-equipped kitchen with branded appliances and a bar table with four wooden stools to enjoy drinks or quieter meals. Retire to the spacious lounge where there is a large, solid wood dining table with benches for eight, and two comfortable leather sofas and armchairs for watching the TV. Downstairs on the ground floor, the single bedroom boasts a gaming chair and TV, whilst a family room with rattan three-seater sofas, a desk and chair, a bookcase and children’s toys, offers direct access to the garden through French doors. On the second floor, the second cosy lounge with two leather sofas, an armchair, a TV and a gas fire is a great place to relax. This floor also provides an en-suite king-size bedroom and a laundry room. On the third floor, the master super-king-size bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a free-standing roll-top bath and walk-in shower. There’s also a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Finally, from the balcony accessed via the French doors from the first-floor lounge, you can enjoy a drink and take in the sea, harbour and coastline views, or you can light the BBQ in the enclosed front garden on the ground floor and dine alfresco.

Start your Torquay adventures by strolling around the harbour and marina, only half a mile away, to spot the boats and luxury yachts – and stop at a harbour-view restaurant to sample some of the local seafood. In the summer months, explore the many beaches around the area, including Torre Abbey Sands, just 1 mile away. Some beaches offer boat trips and water sports, allowing you to get to know the Devon coast from the waves.

This property is all about the location. However it is also well stocked with equipment and facilities. We go to Torquay to visit family bi-annually and would definitely rebook this property.

This is a very spacious house with lots of room for all generations of a family and has fantastic views in a good location. The house was very clean apart from the thresholds into the kitchen and downstairs WC which need a better deep clean. There are great facilities in this house with good wifi, tv's everywhere a full equipped utility room with eRead moreverything needed for a longer stay. The main bedroom on the top floor has a large double bed but I found it very hard, it would benefit from a topper for perfect comfort. There is evidence of wear and tear in some places but nothing to interfere with comfort or use. The second double bedroom had a issue with cold water pressure in the sink. We had a problem with no hot water when we first arrived which was a pain but was fixed very quickly the next day. The agency responded quickly to our needs. There was also an issue with noise on the roof. There was a quick response about this also however seemed connected with the very high winds which are particularly noisy on the top floor in a storm! The kitchen is a great space to cook in but could be better equipped with more guests staying longer. No vegetable knife for example. Furniture is on the whole comfortable but the dining area lacks proper seating. We found the hard bench seating practical but uncomfortable. Parking for one car is very easily accessible but any other parking is an issue and causes a problem within the block. Makes having visitors difficult especially in poor weather or for people with disabilities. Paid parking is down a steep hill. Side road parking is difficult. Our visitor parked in the owners second car parking space outside the garage which is only possible with a very small car. The central heating works well. The house has a lovely outside space with again breath-taking views and would be fabulous in the summer. Hide

Fabulous location with views to die for, if you don't mind walking back up the hill there are numerous lovely restaurants to eat at without having to drive. The master bedroom on the top floor was huge with stunning views of the harbour and the flights of stairs in the house certainly kept us fit.

The property was excellent in every aspect. It was spotlessly clean. The location had spectacular views. My one slight concern is the tight corner at park hill road and the steepness of the slope but they didnt detract from the holiday.

A lovely large property with gorgeous views over the harbour and Torquay beyond. 10 Riviera is spread over four floors with three double bedrooms and a single in the lower level, making it perfect for a large family or holidaying with others. The property was well equipped but would benefit from a large frying pan, tongs and blinds in the kitchen (Read morethere is a large apartment block next door). It has steps up to the property and lots of stairs inside so not really suitable for someone with mobility issues. The location is a short walk downhill to the harbour, shops, amusements and restaurants. You can walk along the seafront to reach the beach, adventure golf, Torre Abbey and more restaurants. There can be some noise at night from the clubs and pubs below but only if sleeping in the front bedroom (I wasnt bothered by it but my husband was). There is plenty to do in Torquay with the beach, crabbing in the harbour (kids loved that), shops, restaurants and bars, big wheel, fair, theatre to name a few. Beyond Torquay and a short drive away is Paignton, Brixham and Babbicombe. There are plenty of buses to take you to these places too. We took a boat trip to Brixham, visited the model village at Babbicombe, the water park at Goodrington and spent the day on Paignton beach, all of which I would recommend. We would have done more but only had one week! Paignton and Goodrington sands were definitely the best beaches. Hide
