This delightful cottage boasts outstanding coastal and sea views in the picturesque hilltop village of Mortehoe. With direct access to the South West Coast Path opposite the cottage, you can spend your days exploring endless waterside trails before returning to this coastal base and watching the sunset from the patio.

Inside, the cottage has refined and modern décor with neutral and wood tones throughout, creating a relaxing coastal bolthole that’s perfect for a family holiday to the North Devon coast. You can enjoy a cosy atmosphere in the beautifully decorated living room which has wonderful views, and just relax by the wood burner after a blustery walk. There is a well-fitted kitchen with modern units, and a pretty dining room to the rear where you can enjoy family meals together after a day of active adventures. Patio doors lead to a small rear courtyard with a bistro table and a BBQ for summer feasts. Upstairs, you will find two tastefully decorated bedrooms; the master king-size has a modern en-suite shower and the second bedroom has a set of twin beds. Completing the interior accommodation is the family bathroom.

Mortehoe has a range of pubs, a post office and a village store, and is surrounded by National Trust land with wonderful walks on the coastal path. Woolacombe is 1 mile away and is popular all year round with families, surfers and dog walkers looking to enjoy the soft golden sands of its huge beach. It also has a wide range of places to eat and drink as well as a variety of independent shops. Further afield, the harbour town of Ilfracombe and the wilds of Exmoor National Park are within 8 miles.

Driftwood Cottage is a great cottage to have a relaxing holiday. The downstairs is lovely and bright and open planned with a great view down to the sea. The cottage is within a great location, and for walkers it is a stone throw away from the coast path which is amazing. I would definitely recommend this cottage. We did not use the car for a weekRead more we did lots of walking and there was lots of variety. Hide

Always a pleasant surprise when the property turns out to be as attractive as the website photos and in this case, the sunsets were even better than the pictures.

Driftwood cottage was wonderful - the views and walks from the cottage are stunning. There was so much to do in the area. We had the most perfect week as a family of 4 plus our dog. We would not hesitate to recommend this cottage, or to stay again.

Lovely house, exceptionally clean and well equipped. Set close to the top of quite a steep hill, two minutes walk from hub of the village where there are pubs, tearoom, bistro and very good takeaways. The coast path is literally across the road with spectacular views over the bay. Many walks around so doggy heaven. Excellent holiday base.
