For a holiday beside the sea, this charming family-friendly cottage is a perfect base with a bright and airy open-plan living space. With direct access to the beach from the back gate, endless hours of fun can be had right on your doorstep, with a fantastic local deli and a number of independent restaurants along the seafront to fuel your day's adventures.

The heart of the home is the open-plan living room/kitchen/diner, decorated in neutral tones to create a relaxing space for all the family. Here, you could sink into one of the two comfortable sofas to watch a film beside the electric 'woodburner style' fire or cook up a storm in the pretty kitchen to serve up on the dining table. Upstairs are the two bedrooms, including a double room furnished with a TV and a twin room. In addition, there is a shower room to wash off the sand after a day at the beach. The enclosed courtyard garden extends the living space outdoors with comfortable furniture and a BBQ, perfect for the summer months.

Take a picturesque stroll along the iconic Tarka Trail from Instow and soak up the natural beauty of this area before stopping off at Fremington Quay (4 miles) to refresh. The trail leads all the way into Barnstaple (6 miles) and through to Braunton (11 miles) offering an array of days out depending on how much of a challenge you’re looking for. For a leisurely day exploring beautiful gardens and stopping off for a slice of cake, Tapeley Park lies just 2 miles away, whilst RHS Garden Rosemoor can be found 10 miles away. Bideford (4 miles) is a lovely town to visit to peruse the independent shops and pannier market with a great spot to grab an ice cream at Victoria Park when the sun is shining.

The cottage is in a prime situation near the beach. It's so cosy and welcoming with all the beach themed furnishings and ornaments. The little welcoming touches are second to none with milk, wine,crisps, dog treats and flowers. The lady lives next door and can't do enough for you . Just lovely
