For a taste of life in the Ocean City, visit Plymouth (14 miles) for a swim at the Lido, to find an array of eateries and to explore the Hoe. Alternatively, make for the coast and spend a day on the beach of Whitsand Bay (16 miles) to delve into rock pools to take a dip in the clear blue waters.
