This modern cottage is just a short stroll from Braunton’s village centre, beloved by generations for its vibrant atmosphere and proximity to the stunning North Devon coast. Combining cottage charm with more contemporary additions – and boasting a suntrap patio with a BBQ – this is a fantastic base for a family looking to explore the many delights of North Devon’s coast and countryside while being in a thriving village location.

Stylish and comfortable throughout, the cottage is decorated in neutral colours with pops of colour adding vibrancy and character. The kitchen/breakfast room has cream units, granite-style work surfaces and a tiled floor, creating a homely feel. After a busy day on the beach, relax in the spacious living room, where patio doors leading out onto the pretty, south-facing courtyard. This outdoor space is equally lovely for al fresco breakfasts or family BBQs and enjoys the sun for most of the day. When the day is done, climb the stairs to discover the cottage’s three bedrooms: an en-suite double room, a twin room and a small single room that’s ideal for a child. There is also a bright family bathroom with a bath for soaking tired muscles after a day of adventures on the coast.

Found down a quiet street just off the main road through Braunton, this cottage benefits from having all the village facilities on the doorstep, with restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops within half a mile. The main road leads to Saunton Sands (3 miles) – a huge, sandy beach backed by dunes, popular with surfers and dog-walkers alike. The equally popular beaches of Croyde and Woolacombe are within 7 miles. For a day out closer to home, hire some bikes in the village and cycle the traffic-free Tarka Trail along the River Taw all the way to Barnstaple (6 miles) which has a larger selection of high-street shops and places to eat.

  • 3 bedrooms – 1 single, 1 twin, 1 king-size
  • 2 bathrooms – 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and WC, 1 en-suite shower room with WC, 1 separate WC

Great position and on the right side of town to access the beach. Everything you need in the village. The only problem I really had was being quite short. I struggled to access some of the equipment in the kitchen cupboards.
