Well equipped, warm cosy cottage with plenty of space for 2 people. Very peaceful location well off the beaten track. Ideal spot to get away from it all

A beautiful thatched cottage which during summer months would be perfect not so much in Autumn/Winter. The downstairs was cold and the WiFi kept dropping out. The spiral stairs were quirky but care was needed when negotiating them during the night needing to use the downstairs toilet, not suitable for everyone.

When booking we didnt realise it had spiral staircase to bedroom and the bathroom on the ground floor furthest away in the property. It is not really suitable for older persons and therefore our friends are of a similar age we would be unable to recommend.

Wonderful cottage, in the perfect location for peace and quiet relaxation and also to explore both Devon and Cornwall. The bed was amazing we slept so well. Lovely hosts who are there to help but also to give you space to enjoy their beautiful holiday home.

An ideal stay for a couple, in a great location (very quiet) with terrific beaches/walks just 20 - 30 minute drive. The property has everything you could wish for, and the owners-hosts are extremely welcoming and offer friendly advice and assistance if required. We would undoubtedly visit there again.

We enjoyed our stay, but the cottage was not for us. For me the property was too shaded, with not much outside light coming in. I wanted to be able to sit in the living room and look out at the views of the countryside as we were looking for a chilled out holiday. This property does not have this unless you stood on the balcony from the bedroomRead more. Although there was a gate on the drive it does not have a secured garden for dogs so they could escape underneath the gate. There is plenty of kitchen equipment. The bed is massive and very comfortable. The hot tub was the main event of the week, and was a real pleasure to use at the end of the day. Hide

Sad to say that we did not enjoy staying here, the owners were lovely and helpful and the location was great for but we we're very disappointed after such outstanding reviews as soon as we walked through the door we're greeted with cobwebs along with ones falling on us whilst we were eating or sitting down relaxing which was shortly followed by finRead moreding broken glass by the sofa. Whilst we understand the use of cctv for the car park we was slightly uncomfortable with the one covering the hot tub/garden area with also that owners windows overlooking the hot tub area we just couldn't quite relax. There was also no mention when booking about no smoking at all in gardens or near the house as well the added restrictions for dogs when we arrived or that the owners also live in the property. We also thought there would be a patio door leading to the hot tub rather than a stoney path to walk round the back of the house there was a few other issues but overall very disappointed and won't be staying again. We had the most wonderful break at Thyme cottage. It was our minimoon, and the tranquility and escapism was second to none. Such a beautiful part of the world, and it was so lovely to be surrounded by nature. Listening to the birds in the garden whilst in the hot tub was bliss! Well equipped, comfy cottage.
