Escape to the coast in this charming cottage in the colourful town of Brixham. The property sleeps four guests and makes a fantastic base for couples and small families looking to explore the beautiful English Riviera, with regular ferries to Paignton and Torquay. The town’s marina and harbour are within 0.5 miles, and you’ll also be within easy reach of the independent shops and eateries. In summer, enjoy a sundowner on the raised terrace and admire the far-reaching views along the coast.

Approximately 35 steps lead to the pastel-coloured, terraced cottage. Inside, the holiday home has a reverse-level layout, to maximise the incredible views, and is full of creature comforts and homely touches. The lower floor comprises two stylish bedrooms and a large family shower room, as well as a handy utility room. Upstairs, you’ll find a bright and spacious lounge/diner with a cosy wood burner and beautiful views of the inner harbour. A separate, galley-style kitchen completes the accommodation. To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed, multi-teared garden with a patio area for al fresco dining and a west-facing raised decked area with magnificent views. There’s also a small seating area at the front of the cottage.

Head into Brixham to potter around its narrow streets, perusing the cute boutiques and galleries, before wandering down to the colourful harbour. Be sure to check out the famous fish market, where you can pick up the catch of the day for your supper. You’ll also find that many of the town’s restaurants serve delicious, fresh seafood. In summer, a trip to the art deco lido at Shoalstone is a must, as is a visit to Breakwater Beach (both 1 mile). The South West Coast Path passes through the town, offering stunning walking routes with jaw-dropping views.

In the months of May through to November why not attend one of the many events and festivals in the area like the Brixham Pirate Festival, England's Seafood Feast, Lanterns lights & 'luminations, Dartmouth Music Festival, Dartmouth Royal Regatta, Dartmouth Food Festival, Torbay Air Show, Teignmouth Air show, Devon County Show.

Lovely cottage, furnished well, kitchen fully equipped, very warm and cosy. Views across the harbour from the lounge were amazing. Lovely surprise to arrive and find it decorated for Christmas, a very nice gesture. Highly recommend a stay here.

Excellent property of a high standard and superb views from the front windows. The property was well equipped including the kitchen which also had plenty of cupboard space for our food items. Remarkably for a rental property the food preparation knives were sharp! The beds were very comfortable and we slept well from night 1! Well stocked with gameRead mores, DVDs and books plus a TV recorder, which was a great addition. Did not disappoint. Hide

The cottage is in a glorious location. Overlooking the harbour, I will never get tired of that view. There isn't any designated parking so you have to try your luck especially with drop off and loading up but we knew that when we booked. The steps down to the property are pretty steep, we would always walk around to the front of the property after Read morea day out - it's a short walk with the best view. Apart from a few improvements I would stay here again. Hide

Lovely views of the inner harbour from the lounge and main bedroom. Comfortable and a good base to stay for Brixham and surrounding area. You need to be fit as the house is up at the top and there are a lot of steps to negotiate to access the property and Brixham harbour front .

A wonderful cottage with spectacular views. It's equipped with pretty much everything you would need. You do need to be careful on the steps, but it's worth it for the view.

We had a fabulous week. The house is very comfortable, well equipped and maintained. Buses run from the town which worked well for walking the coast path and the co-op up the road was very handy.

Lovely holiday cottage which was perfect for our family with 2 teenagers and a small dog. Clean and comfortable with everything you need. This was a perfect retreat for our new year break. Close to the town centre (5 min walk) - although be ready for the steep steps if walking.
