Wake up to the smell of sea air in this delightful retreat overlooking Brixham harbour. The property is in the heart of the town, giving you easy access to fabulous restaurants and cute boutiques and galleries. The South West Coast Path passes through the town and nearby National Trust properties include Coleton Fishacre (6.5 miles) and Greenway (4.5 miles). The property boasts magnificent sea views from its living area and two of the bedrooms.

The three-storey property has an eclectic style, with quirky accessories and vibrant fabrics set against a crisp, neutral decor. On the ground floor, you’ll find a sociable lounge/diner with comfortable seating, a dining table, and an impressive bay window framing the boats bobbing in the harbour. A couple of steps lead from here to the kitchen. Heading up to the first floor, discover a light and bright king-size bedroom with sea views and an en-suite shower room. There’s also a children’s bunk bedroom and, via two steps, a further single bed. Completing this floor is the family bathroom. The top floor houses a king-size bedroom, with an armchair in the window for relaxing and taking in the scenery. To the front of the property is a small terrace with a bistro set.

Brixham boasts several beaches, all with something different to offer. Head to the family favourite of Shoalstone (1 mile) for a dip in the seawater pool, the sheltered cove at Fishcombe (0.5 miles) to escape the crowds, or Breakwater Beach (1 mile) for a spot of scuba diving. Nature lovers will enjoy a jaunt around Berry Head National Nature Reserve (1.5 miles), where you’ll find a collection of rare wildlife set against a stunning coastal backdrop. From the cottage, take day trips to Dartmouth, Torquay, and Paignton (all within 10 miles).

Fantastic view but this comes at a price of being up a steep hill and a flight of 20 steps up to cottage. Not recommended for those with mobility issues.
