... absolutely amazing - we are a three generation family so the layout of the home and the bonus of the 'nest' was spot on for us; all spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard, the beds were very comfy too - honestly felt like being from home to home with the addition of the hot-tub and sauna, you really don't need to bring any extras asRead more it's all available and very well thought out. Of course due to the wonderful weather we were on the beach (is literally 200 yds away from house) every day and sometimes twice dependent on where we were eating in the evening, although you could easily self-cater. The children visited the 'Milky Way' theme park and had a great time, we also went back to visit Ilfracombe and the two Mums went for a long and 'kid-free' walk all the way along the bay and back (counted 20,000 steps) - the views and sunsets were amazing; we were lucky to also have an almost full moon over the bay which was magical to see. To sum up, we didn't want to leave and will certainly be returning next year if possible. Hide

A large, generally comfortable house with great outdoor space. The sea views are amazing, the location being exceptional. The sauna, hot tub and plunge pool excellent. Nice furniture and lovely large family table, kitchen generally well equipped, with modern bathroom. Annex very modern and comfortable. However, we found the house has an unusRead moreual smell, a bit like a church, old and rather damp. The main staircase is very noisy proving impossible to walk around the house without waking sleeping children up . The kitchen units have seen better days and some areas didnt feel very clean, for example black mould in the icemaker. The floorboards are marked and have ingrained dirt. Overall the place has such great potential, but has clearly seen better days, and apart from the stunning location, didnt quite hit the mark expected of a 5 star property. Hide

The views from the house are some of the best in Woolacombe. The house is very well equipped, clean, cozy and comfortable. We really enjoyed using the well thought out outside areas, especially the Sauna and Jacuzzi.

The Albatross 12 is a perfect solution for a multi generational holiday. Us grandparents had the real benefit of The Nest; a great slice of peace after the mayhem of toddling grandchildren! The views ( particularly from the big house) are simply spectacular and the electronic system amazing !! Having the use of a hot tub and sauna gave a real senseRead more of luxury. Absolutely perfect location for a big family holiday. Fantastic views, clean and comfortable accommodation, very well equipped. A short walk to the beaches and village centre, or to Morthoe where there are a couple of nice pubs. A short drive to Tesco in Ilfracombe.

The house is in a wonderful location and it is comfortable, well-equipped and spacious. If the weather is good (which it was for us) it makes for an unbeatable seaside holiday home for a large family group. We loved it.

Would highly recommend this property four couples two children, two babies using it and it suited everybody. We really appreciated the variety of equipment there for use e.g. bodyboards wetsuits and obviously all the kitchen equipment which meant that we wanted for nothing. Plenty of space in the garden areas, including in the garden attached to Read morethe annex which had a large climbing frame and slide area. Hide

We had an amazing time at Albatross 12. There were 9 of us staying and 1 dog. The location was perfect; close to the beach, shops and pubs. The views from the house were gorgeous. There was everything we needed, and things we didnt know we needed, in the house, and the owners had thoughtfully left ingredients for a cream tea for our arrival. Lots Read moreof room for us all to spread out and chill out, lots of board games that we played on the one rainy day we had. The kitchen was very well equipped and we managed to cook a roast dinner for 9 one day, as well as a bbq another day. We had the best holiday and would love to go back one day. Highly recommend it.
