This stylish bungalow is in a quiet residential area, on the outskirts of Brixham. The property sleeps four guests and makes a great base for families and friends looking to explore the beautiful south coast. The property is 2 miles from the town centre, where you’ll find a fantastic range of shops and eateries, as well as family-friendly beaches and access to the South West Coast Path.

The property is decorated in a contemporary style and feels bright and airy, with large windows and spacious social areas. The lounge is a relaxing place to unwind, with comfortable seating and a collection of homely accessories. On a summer’s day, open the patio doors to the garden to enjoy indoor/outdoor living. The sleek kitchen/diner is a great place for entertaining, with all the equipment and worktop space needed to create tasty meals. In the evenings, come together around the dining table to reminisce about your day and share delicious, home-cooked food. Two elegant bedrooms – a double and a twin – along with the family bathroom round off this excellent coastal retreat. The bungalow has a generous, landscaped garden to the front. To the side and rear, you’ll find an immaculate, enclosed patio with a choice of areas for al fresco dining.

Brixham’s bustling harbour is 2 miles away, and boasts an excellent array of restaurants, as well as the town’s famous fish market – the perfect place to pick up freshly caught seafood for your supper. Children and history enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to the Golden Hind – also in the harbour – where you can climb aboard the fascinating replica of Sir Frances Drake’s famous ship. The town has some fabulous beaches, including Shoalstone with its seawater pool and Breakwater, where you can try scuba diving and a whole host of other water sports.

In the months of May through to November why not attend one of the many events and festivals in the area like the Brixham Pirate Festival, England's Seafood Feast, Lanterns lights & 'luminations, Dartmouth Music Festival, Dartmouth Royal Regatta, Dartmouth Food Festival, Torbay Air Show, Teignmouth Air show, Devon County Show.

Compass Rose is a modern bungalow in a quiet neighbourhood, about half an hour from Brixham Harbour. Our stay was comfortable, and we appreciated being able to charge our electric car at the house. The fully enclosed garden was perfect for our dog to roam freely, which we all loved.

Nice little spot, couldnt fault the cleanliness (despite comments in previous reviews). A bit further from town than wed have ideally liked, would make for a long walk down to the harbour and back up the hill. But the area was nice and quiet, apart from the odd seagull.

Nicely renovated bungalow, in a quiet area, a 30 minute walk from the centre of Brixham. Well equipped but sofas were a little small for comfort. Convenient off road parking with space to store bikes. Overall, a nice place to stay if you're happy to stay out of the centre of the town.

When I booked the property I paid to use the EV charger. I was told the code to use it would be sent to me before arrival, it wasn't. After many unanswered calls and failed attempted live chats (no one was ever on) I finally got an answer and was told no code would be needed to use the EV charger. Loverly clean bungalow, rear patio is fully enclosed which was good for us as we brought our dog. Quiet residential location short drive to local sites, beaches etc.There was the owners information pack that was very limited regarding eating out recommendations. I have stayed at many accommodations in the past and this one is the first ever where Read morethere was no guest book which was a shame as its always useful to have independent recommendations of pubs/restaurants etc. Hide

The property is a very well equipped, modern holiday home. It is a fair walk from the town but we knew this when we booked, choosing it due to the facilities. We were comfortable as a couple but if 4 were to share, they may struggle with the living room furniture as there are only 2 rather small sofas which would not seat 2 comfortably.

A very well appointed property, which was comfortable and relaxing for our week long stay. The location was good, walking distance from Brixham harbour and other local attractions such as Dartmouth and Paignton. We really enjoyed our week at Compass Rose!

We found the property and it's contents to be exceptional and well above what we expected. The property is finished to a very high standard and is very well equipped with the best of quality linen, crockery and cookware. Smart TV and free wi-fi also add that extra touch. Lovely spotlessly clean property, everything seemed brand new. Lovely enclosed outside area ideal for children and dogs. Would recommend as a base to explore South Devon.

The property was everything we expected from the website description. It was quiet, very well equipped and everything was spotless and modern with good off-road parking. The distance from Brixham harbour was about a mile - approximately a 20min walk, but we found the hourly bus service very reliable when we didn't want to take the car.
