Take time to explore the town’s fascinating boutiques, galleries, and arts and crafts shops, before popping into one of the many eateries to sample the local produce and fresh seafood. If you fancy getting out on the water, head to the harbour to take a boat trip or board the ferry to visit Paignton or Torquay. The town has some excellent beaches, from the family-friendly Shoalstone with its seawater pool to the secluded St Mary’s Bay, with its towering cliffs and turquoise waters.
