Brixham has some fabulous beaches, many restaurants and cafes . Head to the family favourite of Shoalstone (1 mile) for a dip in the seawater pool, the sheltered cove at Fishcombe (1 mile) to escape the crowds, or Breakwater Beach (0.5 miles) for a spot of scuba diving. From the harbour, you can take boat trips to explore the Torbay area, or hop on the foot ferry to spend the day in Paignton or Torquay. The Dartmouth Steam Train is another great way to travel in style, Historic Dartmouth car ferry point is 15 minutes drive away and you can journey to many local attractions, including National Trust Greenway, the former holiday home of Agatha Christie.
