The fantastically located property is equal distance between the River Dart and the beautiful Broadsands Beach (both 1 mile), ideal for those eager to explore nature walks along the AONB river banks and spend time on the beach. The accommodation, which sleeps four guests and is ideal for a small family, is also within easy reach of Brixham (3 miles) and other appealing destinations along the ever-temperate English Riviera.

Everything’s laid out on one easy floor in this modern bungalow, so both bedrooms and one contemporary bathroom are accessible on the ground floor. The sociable communal spaces are split into a lounge, a kitchen/diner and a separate conservatory, so there’s more than enough room for the whole family to settle in and spend time together. The conservatory is a noteworthy room with stylish sofas and views out over the garden – an ideal space to sit with a book whilst younger visitors play on the lawn. The garden is entirely enclosed and furnished with an outdoor dining set, so prepare to dine outdoors when the sun shines.

Torquay, Paignton and Brixham offer an incredible trio of South Devon seaside towns, all within 6 miles of home. You can take a ferry from Brixham Harbour (3 miles) over to Torquay for a wonderful way to visit both towns. Attractions including Paignton Zoo (3 miles), Splashdown Quayquest (2 miles) and Occombe Farm (5 miles) will be loved by young ones, whilst guests of all ages will find the appeal in Torquay’s Torre Abbey (5.5 miles) and the fascinating Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves (7 miles).

We found the accommodation to be spot on! A very pleasant break notwithstanding the less than ideal weather conditions. Happily rebook in the future.

The Gimbals is exactly as described on the website, a beautiful property in a perfect location, conveniently situated for Paignton, Torquay, Brixham and Dartmouth, a private garden not over looked and secure for dogs, when youre in the garden you can hear the steam train which is very quaint, Plenty of off road parking for the property, we liked iRead moret that much we are looking at dates for next year. Great service from Original Cottages - highly recommended. Hide
