For those of you who love the water, head to Combe Martin beach 8 miles away, to try a spot of kayaking. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and Exmoor Zoo are less than 6 miles away.

You’ll find no better remedy for soothing weary walking muscles than hunkering down on the comfy sofa in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and admiring homely contemporary touches and charming original features everywhere you look. As hungry tummies rumble, get creative in the contemporary farmhouse-style kitchen, to whip up a hearty feast to feed the crowd seated around the dining table, perfectly placed to enjoy wonderful countryside views. We very much enjoyed our stay. It is a peaceful quiet location, cosy cottage and still many things to do in nearby. The nature of Devon is beautiful.

We had a fab stay here. Really good location for moors and beach. Lovely part of the world. On an old farm the animals nearby were a real highlight for my children. Lambs, goats and rabbits. Reservoir is a short walk away and suitable for small kids. This is a family friendly house we stayed with our kids aged 2 and 4. Stair gate keeps them outRead more of the upstairs. Not many hazards for them to bump into. Lovely bathroom with great shower and bath that is good for kids. Soft towels. Comfy beds. Well stocked kitchen. Has cafeteria for coffee. Lovely touch of bread and scones on arrival. Thank you. Feels very secure property. Friendly owners. I would love to stay as an extended family booking both calving and tractor barns. Has a lovely seated area in the summer would be great to sit out in. Throughly recommend and would love to come back. Its a peaceful retreat in the north Devon countryside. Hide

Lovely farm setting not too far off the beaten track and close to a nice evening walk around the reservoir. The hosts were extremely friendly as were their animals. I would recommend!
