Tucked away on a quiet street in the picturesque village of Beer, this charming, lovingly furnished cottage is the ultimate coastal retreat for families and groups of friends to dive into the postcard-perfect scenery of East Devon to discover the scenic walks and breathtaking sea views that won’t be forgotten in a hurry.

An idyllic blend of characterful and contemporary features everywhere you turn in the lounge creates a warm, homely atmosphere that beckons you to unwind weary walking muscles on the comfy corner sofa and enjoy the ultimate film night in front of the Smart TV. The charming cottage aesthetic is carried through to the kitchen/diner spacious enough to rustle up a hearty feast with the delicious local produce you’ve collected and enjoy making special family memories seated around the rustic farmhouse-style dining table. As the evening draws in, head upstairs to find three wonderfully presented bedrooms which each feature a soothing neutral colour palette that’ll send you into a peaceful slumber before tomorrow’s adventure. On a fine summer’s evening, fire up the BBQ to enjoy dining alfresco in the enclosed patio garden.

A visit to East Devon would not be complete without exploring the picture-perfect village of Beer, nestled on the Jurassic Coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nestled on the edge of the South West Coast Path, Beer boasts some of the most stunning coastal walks in the country; head north to the charming seaside town of Seaton (2 miles), boasting a 3-mile riverside tram railway ride, or head west to Branscombe (2.5 miles) to admire its colourful beach huts. Closer to home, while away an afternoon relaxing on a deckchair at Beer’s shingled beach, embraced by limestone cliffs, or dive into the local history at Beer Quarry Caves, both half a mile away.

Rock cottage is a beautiful cosy place to stay. It is home from home comfort and in an ideal location to Beer. The home is clean and spacious with a small courtyard garden that gets the sun most of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay, its a perfect place to stay in.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage! It has a wonderful, cozy feel that makes you feel right at home straight away. The house is very spacious with plenty of rooms, which was fantastic since we stayed here with a larger group, everyone had their own space. On top of that, the beds were incredibly comfortable; we all slept like babies! The Read morelocation is also perfect: just a few minutes' walk from the local restaurants and the beach. Its a wonderful place to stay, and we highly recommend it! Hide

Beer is beautiful and a perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas. The kids loved looking for fossils at Charmouth beach. Would love to explore the walk to Branscombe another time without little children in tow. The cottage was very well equipped and all beds were very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the local beach which is only a short distaRead morence away. We noticed a brand new travel cot on our arrival. We didnt get to use this as we brought our own as we were told by Holiday Cottages there was no travel cot available. This needs to be added to the list of items available to use when booking. This is a very well equipped, clean and comfortable cottage. The decor is beautiful and well thought out providing ample space for a group/family of 6. The cute garden is a lovely little hideaway too. The parking (off peak) is great, It is in a wonderful location, 10 minute walk to the local shops and pubs and a 15 minute walk to the beach.
