A traditional farmhouse with a sprawling lawned garden and a private games barn, perfectly situated for adventures along the North Devon coast. Brimming with classic country charm, this spacious retreat is a wonderful base for a multigenerational family holiday or escape with old friends. Wriggle into wetsuits and embark on a group SUP session along Bude canal (10 miles), before sinking into your private open-air jacuzzi for a restorative soak.

This elegant hideaway features an inviting interior with plush fabrics, rustic wooden beams, and original inglenook fireplaces. Unravel outer layers at the door then pad into the cosy lounge. Stretch out on the squishy sofas with a post-adventure brew and bask in the warmth of the electric wood burner-effect fire. Set the mood with a crowd-pleaser playlist on the Smart TV. Mark your special occasion with a formal feasting affair in the dining space. After supper, those with a competitive streak can transform the dining table into a pool table while the leisure seekers flop down on the sofas. Keen cooks will delight in pottering in the chic country kitchen styled in creamy neutral tones. Experiment with fresh local ingredients or perch at the breakfast bar to blether over a bottle of wine. Retire upstairs to the comfort of four thoughtfully styled en-suite bedrooms in a range of configurations to suit the whole group. Outside, little ones can while away afternoons on the activity-filled lawn or retreat inside to the private games barn.

Scoff samples and browse for unique souvenirs at the weekly market in Holsworthy (2 miles) or tee off in the tranquil grounds of Holsworthy Golf Club (2.5 miles). Had a brilliant stay. The farmhouse was absolutely beautiful. Stunning kitchen with everything you could ask for, lovely comfortable beds, the games on offer were superb and a lovely big hot tub to use. Great location and feels nice and secluded. Being able to feed the sheep everyday was a lovely added bonus. We would definitely stay again!

This farmhouse is gorgeous! made us feel very welcome. All the bedrooms have generous ensuites. The house has been tastefully decorated. The kitchen is a delight. We loved all the options for lights within the property which set the scene for cosy evenings or brighter for games nights. There is plenty to do for all ages, as there is outdoor eqRead moreuipment and a games barn. The hot tub was a welcome relaxation after a long day sightseeing. The outside table and chairs were a sun trap for evening drinks before dinner. Pinky and Perky (sheep, not pigs), enjoyed being fed by us, and the beautiful sheep dog became our best friend! The farmhouse is situated near the Cornwall border, so trips to Bude and St Ives were a must, as well as the north Devon towns/villages eg Barnstaple and Clovelly to name just two. We can't wait to book a return visit! Hide

The property was very comfortable, with plenty of room for the grandchildren to play/run about - they particularly enjoyed the play area in the garden, the playhouse and the barn! The hot tub was also much appreciated - and the weather was good enough to use it! Beech House is in a quiet and peaceful area, but in easy reach of many areas of Devon Read morethat we wanted to visit. We enjoyed our week there together - young and old! Hide
